Here we are talking about reducing Government Spending.  This is remarkably important.  The role sounds fantastic.  A contribution just below the legacy "He loved his family and his family loved him."

But but they’re evil successful billionaires who can’t sing or act….. if they could sing or host a talk show they are the good kind of billionaires.

or cheat on their property taxes.  I’m looking at you jb pritzker.   Never hear about him paying his fair share of taxes now do you.

Results matter more than effort.

The creator's effort matters none to my consumer decision to buy the Ford F150.  Rather my purchase is result driven.  Is it useful for my needs, reliable, affordable?  Sold!

I don't want to pay five workers to stand around the slow/stop sign in the street for two months.  I want the street repaired in 24 hours.  Oh - you have someone that get the work done faster by being smarter without working harder?  Great!  Just get it done, now and well.

I guess this is more what I was getting at.  I think some would argue the best employees aren’t necessarily the ones who work 80 hour weeks, it’s the ones that can get done in 20 hours what another person gets done in 40.

Gernerally this is true.

I’m not sure what your point is.     Yes.

Sure.  Often some driven people are crazy.  I understand they are sort of the enemy of the left too…..

Calm down Sparky,  not every single thing, or comment, or opinion,  is about right vs left, nor do you need to try and make everything  to be.   It’s simply not good for your soul.

My point is very simple, and not at all political, let me try to explain:  There is a lot of infidelity, divorce, and suicide in those demographics.

Don’t want to speak for him but I think he’s implying consistently working that amount of hours could be at least part of the reason for some of those things.   And if so I wouldn’t necessarily disagree with that

People who are married to their jobs oftentimes are not married to their families.   It is hard to serve two masters as the saying goes.   You concentrate on one at the expense of the other.

That’s certainly an opinion based on individual values.  Not saying yours is ‘wrong’, but personally I can think of a number of things that in the terms of legacy would be more than ‘just’ below family, but well above reduce govt spending.

So what does one of these 80+ hour per week, as yet unfunded, government jobs pay?

Not enough to give up ones life unless you are already a basement dweller with nothing else to do.

Early in my career I reasoned about this like a battery powering light bulbs.  You have self, family, friends, career, and faith.  You decide how bright each bulb burns through life's stages.

$7.50/hr but you make up for low rate with guaranteed lots of hours.

Similar to Nancy pelosi’s insider trading I reckon.

Can you tell us more about “_DS”?

Not really.  Only after you have some real outrage for your teams elected leaders illegally profiting off of their insider trading/knowledge.   There is a 484848488292 page thread worrying Elon “may” illegally profit off of his new Role…. We have actual politicians doing it today though.  No worries.  It’s cool.

There you are with that ‘my team’ thing again.
