Nelson Brands is the most overrated wrestler in the country. Patrick Kennedy and him should be a coin flip at best for him based on his overall results. He had one good Ncaa tourney where he kept matches low scoring and snuck out some late wins. If his name was Nelson Peterson, nobody would give a damn.

You are correct in that it isn't a hot take.

You are incorrect in the usage of the word accusation as well as the following statement of based on nothing.

He deduced, based off the rest of his career aside for one tournament, that he is overrated.

It isn't a hot take because it is true and widely believed.

Prior to NCAAs he was 10W-6L (62.5% WP) and seeded 11th (not to place).  He beat four guys who had better seasons than him to place 5th.  He then took a year off - much of it not training because he thought his competitive career was done.  It is a fair deduction for him to say he is overrated.  It isn't a hot take, though.

How do you know he didn’t train?

He's also insinuating that he wouldn't be in the lineup if not for nepotism, thats an accusation in my book.

Also what is the idea that he's overrated based on? That we know his name?

I laid out the reasons for his being overrated already.  It is based off of his entire career and not one tournament.

He wasn't near a wrestling mat for much of it.  Not unless he took it climbing with him.

Having a good tournament doesn't make you overrated, people talking about you're ability in an exaggerated fashion for faulty reasons does. Who is talking up Nelson Brands? I don't see anyone.

What is he rated? What should he be rated?

Most places i see him predicted around mid AA.

He wrestled well against 3rd ranked Stanford, but this is still a hot take.

Having one good tournament and a 60% win percentage with many losses to non-AA then taking a year off can and does - as seen by his squeeker of a 2-1 gift...err... win last night.

Also you must not follow much, at all.  Almost every media outlet is picking him to high AA regardless of 174 or 184.

Predictions =/= rankings =/= ratings.

He is rated at #10 on wrestlestat using an unbiased algorithm.  That seems about right and still doesn't take in to account the uncertainty of his long layoff (did not look good last night) or the uncertainty of his postseason weight.

Your first point has nothing to do with what we are talking about.

What media outlets?

Flo, WIN, Rokfin, Intermat, most folks on twatter who fancy themselves somebody.

Also, the first point is entirely valid.  Just because you say it isn't doesn't mean it isn't.  You are categorically wrong.

One example of what?  I gave you examples already.  Quit being a fckn idiot simply because you are a fckn idiot.

You: He's overrated.

Me: What do you base that on?

You: Everything, and I can throw in condescending jargon to prove it.

Me: can you be more specific?

You: You're an idiot.

I gave examples.  You are choosing to be a complete moron, which is what we all should expect as par for the course with you.  I am sorry I expected you to be able to read.

You just listed some outlets and presumed to ventriloquize them, thats not evidence.

How about this i'll take a poll, "will nelson brands place top 4" if it comes up over 50% you win, sound fair enough?

And take it easy with the name calling, you're coming off a little emotional.
