Yeah.  You're wrong here.  DT is building the RTC to be as good as the college team.  He's going to be wrestling pretty much all day.  Multiple times a day.  DT isn't going to run Zahid down to make him wrestle together, but they're going to practice together quite a bit.  That is Zahid's entire point of moving to the Cowboy RTC.  He wants to be pushed.

Let me make it as simple as possible to lower miscommunication.

I think, "Zahid will finally be in shape cause he can wrestle Taylor now" is a ridiculous statement. If you disagree thats fine.

if Zahid can even get to like 5 minutes of cardio before he falls off a cliff

Would it be unfair to Zahid if I believed even 4 minutes would be a big improvement...:classic_dry:

Really interested to see what level Merill,Hendrickson,Plott,Hamiti are at this year adding Zahid on top of an already dream training scenario is pretty incredible. The upper weight room is NLWC caliber now.

By what metric? Olympic medals? NCAA titles?

While I think Zahid could make improvements in his conditioning, that’s a thing that only he can do for himself. A coach can’t magically transform an athlete who won’t…go.

That said, Zahid needs to work on hand fighting, engaging and wrestling through positions. Taylor is world class at that. Can he teach it? We’ll see.

Eh. You’re only half wrong. Zahid is going to be in far better shape just being in the OSU room/wrestling DT because he’ll actually have guys better than him in the room.

ultimately it will come down to lifestyle. Because the dude never tired in high school - and his dad was pretty damn strict.

le what?

please tell me a match Zahid had EVER lost due to handfighting, engaging and/or wrestling through positions.

all of his losses are between the ears or in his lungs. Or he was just outclassed (DT)

This is my point. So you'd agree if I said "wrestling taylor will provide marginal conditioning improvements but 'ultimately it will come down to lifestyle'"

I'd say both if you're responding to Truzz's comment below...

On one hand, Taylor can live out his fantasy of wrestling a world team member with a no-tech rule and he finally gets his 50 takedowns in 6 minutes, even if it isn't PD3 on a Flo card.

On the other hand, Zahid is going to do 49 sprawl -> lace cover -> standups in six minutes and only a fool would believe that isn't his personal record. And he will have to do that every day until Taylor says otherwise.

On a third hand, if Brooks can use Vyvanse to focus on his bible study then who is to say Zahid can't use a TUE approved inhaler at the break? Surely the OSU docs will take one look at his tape and prescribe him on the spot.

When Cowboy OTC is done he will no longer be Zahid. He will simply be known as the Ram Of The West

He is coming to get a free Cowboy Hat.

Farmer mentality - free hats are a big draw.

Happy for Zahid,  great addition for DT, and potentially awesome for Team USA.  We should all be on board with these kind of moves if we want to improve

100% This is a really great move for Zahid.  Show’s a maturity and openness I admit I would not have expected from him.

Really tough for ASU, they just went down a solid two rungs, and this looks like an actual exodus now.  Teemer, Parco and Zahid all bouncing in the same year? Bad news bears.

Sunkist kids closed down, man.  It should have been expected, especially with NIL as a thing now.

Sunkist closed and the RTC they stood up to replace Sunkist is a walking dead thing.

I don't see ASU getting senior level athletes coming to train there again.
