Let's review this more closely with a more seasoned perspective:

  • Yes - jobs which were created by Biden, yes it's true. And he should get that very credit.
  • Yes - it was a result of opening the economy. Which, again, Biden did exactly that.
  • You claim "you were fighting to keep closed as long as possible"...
    • I don't know who you are referring to as "you" - but no, don't look at me.
    • I agree the fight against Covid was at odds with economic growth,
but that's pandemics for you. They are evil sons of bitches.
    • It was not about "as long as possible" - it was "as long as it improves the situation"

That last part about:

  • By your logic you'd have to give trump credit if he closed the economy completely for no reason and opened it again.
    • No - that is completely illogical. That comment is 100% logically incoherent.
    • That being said, it may make sense to you. Which is just fine by me. You be you.

so you don't understand that bragging about resuscitating an artificially depressed economy is like taking credit for the sun coming up

The first can be counted, the second can be debated for decades.

Dimwits are easily mislead by selective framing.🤦‍♂️

Job loss was caused by a pandemic rather than economic conditions.  True job creation implies generating new employment opportunities that didn't exist before, rather than restoring previous ones.  It was job recovery with the resumption of normal activities.  It was not a growth achievement due to new initiatives and policies.

Remember that Trump says "Drill baby drill" and Biden canceled projects and took steps to limit domestic oil and gas development.  Biden was focused on speeding up the transition to green energy.  One would assume gas prices to be higher under Biden based on their words and actions.  You don't even need to know that the price of gas is more complex than the policies or lack of policies from Trump and Biden.  Excluding the very low prices during the pandemic, current gas prices are still higher under Biden than Trump.  Given all this context and surface expectation that Biden sucks on energy prices... what does Biden claim?

First he has no responsibility for higher gas prices because it is beyond his control.  Then he claims success when gas prices drop by a dollar without mentioning the price was still a dollar higher than previous.

Job creation and gas prices are false achievements.

And don't forget him drawing down the SPR at political points in time to temporarily & artificially lower prices.  And these decisions go totally contrary to the green agenda as the greens would want higher prices.  High prices Memorial & Labor weekends etc. should mean more folks stay at home because can't afford to travel thus save the climate and planet correct?  Surely folks noticed the bump in climate change when Biden dumped SPR on the market.

Technically speaking, you're wrong. Opening jobs back up are exactly as it sounds - more jobs.

Debating who shall take the blame for the lost jobs to begin with is an entirely different matter.

The first can be counted, the second can be debated for decades.

I'm sure you understand that, right?

they are the same jobs that were there before... that's not more.

It’s the reason why we have states.  They don’t all have the same values or beliefs and are different.  The states that didn’t lock down were smart and right. Yep, history is chock full of useful information.

Agreed - there are cases where states should be making their own call.

And in some cases, we need leadership from the federal government, too.

That's when the White House needs to step in and take a role of leadership and responsibility.

I understand that Biden says he “created” more jobs than any one term President. He didn’t create them. They were already there and opened back up. I’m sure you can understand that right??????

Already been covered  - no need to beat that dead horse further.

Yes - I do understand politicians taking credit for things that happen during their tenure.

Dimwits are easily misled by a lot of things, it's the nature of a dimwit.

Just like the "Drill baby drill" that dimwit Sara Palin and others have used for over a decade before Trump copied it.

Fact is that Presidents do not "control" gas prices. But they can strongly influence them. Which is how Biden brought down gas prices. (jross really shouldn't mislead people here.)

Job creation, as has already been covered, is also a quantifiable Biden accomplishment.

These are Biden's actual achievements. Not fiction.
