Are all the Pro-Palestine, anti Israel protests helping or hurting the Democrats?

mostly because it’s incredibly misleading. he’s not an “al jazeera” journalist. he does not work for al jazeera and never has. he was a co-author on one op-ed piece published 5 years ago.

as more details emerge about the raid, it doesn’t look like the hostages were held in his apartment anyway. they were held in a different apartment on a different floor in his building. only 2 of the 7 buildings raided ended up containing hostages.

what are your thoughts on the raid overall? glad the 4 hostages are safe but it sounds like they butchered the operation, killing 3 other hostages and 200+ civilians. not to mention the use of the humanitarian pier to stage the raid puts aid workers in grave danger moving forward.

UB on the board for not feeling bad about taking hostages and not allowing a rescue.

good job man.

"glad the 4 hostages are safe"

Sorry for being critical of Israel botching their operation and killing almost as many hostages as they saved.

The reason I kept insisting you "answer the question" is because none of you besides scout had the guts to actually write it directly.

It's very clear that you think Israel has the right to kill civilians as long as they're being used as human shields by Hamas and that it bears none of the responsibility for their deaths.

Writing that out makes it clear how barbaric that is so you write long paragraphs dancing around it instead of just acknowledging you think it's okay to kill human shields.

Nope.  When Hamas releases the hostages and surrenders unconditionally or has the common decency to die then the problem with Hamas should end.  Unconditional surrender or death should be the only options for Hamas.  Anything else just extends the problem.  Even Hamas' surrender may not solve the problem if non-hamas Palestinians do not let go of the goal to exterminate all the Jews.  But at least the Hamas problem should end.

You act as though Israel goes in targeting civilians rather than Hamas.   That is the problem.   Israel does not go in targeting civilians.   They go in targeting Hamas.   If civilians are killed it is because Hamas uses them as a shield.   It is fully Hamas' responsibility that civilians are killed.

Israel has a right to kill Hamas.   They do not have the right to target civilians.   If civilians are killed while targeting Hamas then that is on Hamas.   I have said this numerous times as have others.   But you want us to say it is ok for Israel to target civilians which is patently not what they do.   That is what Hamas does.   So you are still a shill for Hamas but try to deflect that by saying you are happy hostages were released.   They were not released.   They were rescued by brute force.

You are one conflicted uncle there.

But they know the civilians are present before they pull the trigger. You act like it's a tragic surprise they find out about after the strike. No, they know beforehand and decide to strike anyway.

You might not call that "targeting" but they are still making the conscious choice to knowingly kill civilians.

Also, I've rarely used the word "target" btw, just killed, which is an empirical fact. They may not be targeting civilians, but they are certainly killing them.

Would you strike a house knowing civilians are present and will die? Is sacrificing Palestinian civilians to kill a potential Hamas militant a good decision?

Very simple question.

Hamas has offered to release the hostages in exchange for a ceasefire several times and Israel said no (because they don't care about the hostages).

Also, the civilians are "NOT" what? That's not a sentence. Hitting the bottle early today?

Ummmm Hamas took the hostages, used them as shields, is still using them and you don’t care

i fail to acknowledge that your average palestinian is a 'civilian' anymore.

after finding out where these hostages were being kept.

Average would be 50%. It’s 71%
