Hammerlock3 Posted April 16 Posted April 16 Based on @steamboat_charlie's recommendation, and my legit curiosity, i made a new poll. "Half measures are a coward's form of insanity."
steamboat_charlie Posted April 16 Posted April 16 My suspicion was that this will be much closer to 50/50. It's hard to look at that bracket and pick a single name other than Lee. However, a lot can go wrong for Spencer. Plenty of the guys in the bracket are capable of beating him if he's not 100%, and if I had to place a wager for even money I would put it on the field. Feels like 57kg in the USA has had a knack for not going chalk in recent years.
Wrestleknownothing Posted April 16 Posted April 16 I got Nick Drowning in data, but thirsting for knowledge
Truzzcat Posted April 16 Posted April 16 Unfortunately, or fortunately for spencer the bracket layout is more or less lee to the finals and then he beats one of "the field" I hate writing off Zane, he was our world team rep but outside of that us open run and then beating Gillman he's done nothing to instill me with much confidence that he will push spencer much if at all. I actually think spencer's toughest match will be Nico and then I have Lilledahl knocking off Gillman in the top quarter. If the question was meant to mean spencer in a gauntlet vs everyone in the field once id pick the field I think he probably drops one to someone but with how the bracket is formatted he's my pick.

Good observation. I think my reservations are mostly around the fact that we just haven't seen him do it. 1

How can you be respectful while simultaneously knowing that's a disaster scenario for Team USA? Same can be said if Nick Lee wins the spot at 65 I Don't Agree With What I Posted

wrestle87 Posted April 19 Posted April 19 Spencer is the real deal, his knees, however, no longer are. He and austin gomez live in the same category in my head. They have all the skill they need to win an olympic finals match. But they both are one weird shot or a leg lace away from injury defaulting out of the tournament. 1 1

Must have missed that when Richards ate that dub like Jameis Winston in the huddle I am very sad about tonight. I want Richards to retain the spot so freaking bad because I am rooting like hell for him (and his dad) and also for Illinois. But I want Lee as our rep because I think he is the real deal and that's at the expense of my guy. I am picking Lee with my head and Richards with my heart and will be sipping a heavy libation. 1 i am an idiot on the internet
