It's amazing.  Hendrickson has ZERO understanding of where his back is relative to the mat.  He handed Nevills 7 points right there.  I don't understand how he does that every match.

Hendrickson is being too aggressive, just like in the Bastida match. First minute of chain wrestling was brilliant. He needs to realize when to dial it back. Lack of competition in the room/during the season is probably not helping.

Perhaps he was comfortable at 315 that particular day. Some middle weight  guys at the gym put that up all day long like it was nothing. Hidley looks like a 4 plater to me, but that level of strength will prove useless against the inevitable 4 timer.

Yeah 425 while being a wrestler would be… unnatural… to put it lightly.

 

These guys are obviously jacked but they’re not hitting that much while having such insane cardio. If he or beard wanted to dedicate a few years to the lift grind post grad I bet they could both get up to it.  They are specimen.

Hendrickson is still the guy that ran roughshod last year at NCAAs and nearly broke Parris's ribs on the way to a gut tech from hell only saved by the out of bounds line. But he's definitely not the same guy as he was up until October 27, 2023.

Seems like he could've easily teched Nevills just shooting to Nevills right leg on that last takedown. Heck, I thought he was going to tech Nevills in the 1st after the first exchnage.
