Wisconsin wrestling would compete well in D2?  Did I miss they have a strong recruiting class coming in?  It is embarrassing what Bono has done…

Getting thumped by Michigan State was really something.  @nhs67says that Michigan State doesn't even have a college level workout facility for wrestlers

They haven't recruited the greatest but with what they have this year, some of their guys are exceeding my expectations (Rivera, Maylor, Liegel) and Barnett and Hamiti are doing well.

I think the bottom half of the Big10 (Wisconsin, Purdue, MSU, Northwestern, Indiana, Maryland, Illinois) are more even than most years.

They beat Oklahoma and Virginia.  A better tournament team, they took 2nd at Midlands.  Not setting the world on fire but will finish top 25 at D1 NCAAs.

Craig Henning got screwed in the 2007 NCAA Finals.

They will not finish top 25.

barnett 8th at best

hamiti 5th

thats it….  No heavy weight on the horizon either

They need Askren

As a Wisconsin fan Askren would be awesome as head coach. Otoole, Mirasolas, Sinclair, Millard, Whiting, Mocco, Messenbrink, and many more may have still left WI for college, but if Askren was coach they at least would've considered staying in state I'd assume. Bono is a total disappointment. At least when Barry Davis was coach we didn't expect anything, but Bono gives the same results just has more energy.

They'll be lucky to be top 25. Currently they have 4 guys that are not division 1 level guys at their weight. I don't even know if Letini has won a match this year same goes for every heavyweight. Mechler is not a Big 10 caliber wrestler. Otto is okay if he is at his weight actual, but at 197 I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't win any matches this year.

Maybe the b10 just suckks this year, I mean Ohio St barely beat Michigan and SDSU jumped all over MI.  🤔

What difference does it make?  If they wrestled it’s a completely different outcome.

Why insult D2 like that?! I say drop them to D3! They could have a dual at Carthage College in Kenosha.

No way to say with certainty—you can only wrestle who’s in front of you. It was a good win for the SDSU program regardless of any ‘if’s’ or ‘but’s’.

Partially correct. The wrestling room itself is not the nicest. Pretty basic 3 full size mats with some assault bikes + team lounge. Would put towards the bottom of the Big Ten if not the bottom. They lift in a brand new facility though.
