Shapiro is going to win this bracket IMO. I think he is the best wrestler in the bracket so Ima picking him.

Andonian and Robb are good, but Meyer is better.

I’m a vt fan but appreciate watching a talented wrestler. I look forward to seeing him scrap

I am very excited to watch Ohio State. The pre seeds provide a lot of exciting potential matchups. Whoever your team is, you probably feel this way.

McCrone - good draw - Volk and Smith - and get to see how to weigh the VT win

Mendez - possible matches against both Hardy and McNeil

Paddy - Chumbley split matches with each other last year, excited to see how much he has improved. possible quarters with Teemer/Andionian/Shapiro

Hoffman down at 184. Quarters against Foca.

Geog vs Sloan in quarters

Feldman vs Hendrickson in quarters

According to Flo Wyatt is out as is Shultz. I was excited to see how Lucas Davison stacked up to those guys, but they are not making the trip.

Damn - Shapiro hype is huge.  I’m still not a believer.  Hoping to become one.  Guess I just haven’t seen him enough to get on this train.

Yes, I know freestyle is not folkstyle.  Daniel Cardenas (Stanford) lost to Peyton Robb 6-4 and Ed Scott 6-4 in SV at last year's NCAAs.  Shapiro beat Cardenas 11-0 at the US Open in April last year.

A lot of pressure on Shapiro, to be sure.  He really, really doesn't like to lose (not that I've seen him lose in like the last three years!).

Just sayin'.

Did anyone think Schultz would show up after what happened last year? Zeke is going to protect him to a top 2 seed (either Kerk or illuminati Gable will do undefeated at B1Gs for the #1).

If Hendrickson is as banged up as we think, Davison was likely going to not only ruin the rest of his season but there would be concern for career-altering further damage because he has a real mean streak on the mat and is a legitimate finalist contender this year even if no one is injured and needs to be respected as such. That's not to say he is a dirty wrestler because he isn't, but if you step on the mat then everything is fair game at this level and he will beat you up.

I for one hope Davison meets up with the no-necked Pillsbury Throwboy at NCAA semis and runs through him with horsepower doubles from hell because I'm petty like that. (obligatory I hope he wins a greco medal and breaks the drought)

I could see this and would not be surprised in the slightest if Allred puts him on his head at some point. Matchups make matches and the Hidlay underhook could lead to some test flights. Allred gets the luxury of 99.9% of the match played on the edge so he has nothing to lose if he opens up.

Idk. I just watched Hidlay win the Bill Ferrell beating a world silver medalist in the process

I haven't seen Allred throw much.  He has a good leg attacks and finishes but I don't see him tossing Hidlay.    Most of his pins have come from top position, if I recall.

Give me Hilday to win the whole tournament.

I’m going to call out a bold prediction and say Troy Spratley from Oklahoma State wins this tournament at 125. This will be his coming out party as a title contender.

I was just looking at his results from last year and noticed he went OT with Deugustino last year. Him making the finals wouldn't shock me at all

Yes, the guy who is 2/4/5 is 3 NCAA attempts. The guy who majored Michael Beard and has a 100% bonus rate on the year. Hilday is a very physical wrestler, hardly a "paper tiger".

As was I.  I did not think Munoz would get seeded 2nd.

Feldkamp has since lost since you made your projection... I won't fault you for him losing. 😛

Straw man argument. No one is saying that Allred sucks, just that Hidlay is more accomplished and likely to win a match against him. Allred has shown himself to be game beating Dean multiple times last year. Great double leg.
