Don’t forget they had Noto and poulin, we sure they will start Robinson?

No clue - with a room like they have - they have a lot of options at several weights.  couple of their best wrestlers are on redshirt, but its still early and that could be removed.  Should be interesting, but I would like to see Robinson and Camacho at 125/133 for a few duals

I thought Robinson 25 and Camacho 33 would be the route NCSU would take. I am not sure moving weights during the season is a great idea, but it is early now.

VT’s Stewart loses to a Rutgers back up is a pretty big upset. He is now 0-2 and probably unranked from a preseason rank of 5 or so.

He had a rough start last year, too, if I remember correctly.

I think you are right. I think he dropped a match or two but think it was to ranked wrestlers last year. Last night’s loss was not a good look. My friend said his dad is posting on the hokie board that he hasn’t trained much in the off season bc of an injury. I’d be pi$$ed if my dad was throwing my business on a forum. My buddy said his dad is a drama queen. Actually threw shade on the Mizzou guy who ended up beating Stewart.

I don’t believe either of those guys really transferred because of concern of not starting

An upset on paper sure but otherwise Lilledahl should be an AA this year.  He needs time to show his stuff on the college scene

Not just AA contender, there is a good chance at Lilledahl getting his hand raised Saturday night. He's that good and the bracket will be that busted.

That's the weird freshman ranking where all the rankers know the incoming true freshman is a podium guy but they still start him out at #33 to protect the sanctity of their ranking criteria.

Ramos has been absolutely lights out to start the year, seems like hes just letting his offense go now. Those two are my finals pick but I'm giving the edge to ramos for now.

Yep, Lilledahl jumped 49 slots to #26 today in the wrestlestat rankings. That was a lot of stored energy waiting to be released.

I think you have too though. Things happen between high school stardom and college... Kurt McHenry, Chance Marstellar, Braxton Amos, Nick Reenan, Sean Hage, TJ Cox, Seth Newby, David Kjelgaard.  It's an endless list.

While it is true what you say, once you can differentiate the expected paths of the incomers you can then rank however you want. The difference between a freshman heading towards the top and one headed to redshirt to shore up defeciencies can become obvious after a few weeks.

I know Noto didn't; but what was the Poulin story?

I thought the rumor was he was not a fan of the zero tolerance alcohol policy

I don't know about him, but I have a zero tolerance policy for zero tolerance policies.

Pop told him he could wrestle at NC State or he could keep the mohawk but he couldn't do both
