“So, we should occasionally pause and reflect on the Kristoffersons and Musks in our midst. They play a vital role in enriching culture and civilization for the many without becoming part of the narrow few. And we owe these people, who belong to a rare and hallowed caste of the ages, for making our lives richer, more enjoyable, easier, and safer.“

This one seems a little meh to me. The user hadn't used the name in 4 years.

The comment I’ve seen many making is “Elon should be allowed to have his own personal opinions without it impacting x/twitter!!”

But now he is using his influence as the owner of x/twitter to push his personal opinions.

Spot on. Actually main stream media is much worse. It wouldn't surprise me if there were several more attempts on President Trumps life as the democrats become more desperate as we are getting closer to election day.

While the specific example, to me, is poor, the difference is Musk's statement that he is a free speech absolutist and he was buying Twitter specifically to fight back against what he thinks happens on Facebook, and in the mainstream media. But, it turns out that his absolutist views on free speech do not extend beyond himself.

Drowning in data, but thirsting for knowledge

how is twitter is silencing anyone?

can people spout their point of view?

I see both sides every day.

in fact, in the FOR YOU side, i almost ONLY  see leftists...
