That's just Dake doin' Dake things...

  1. 1. If you overheard someone say, "That's just Dake doin' Dake things", without context, you would think that:

    • Dake just hit a spectacular technique electrifying the crowd.
      9
    • Dake just won a match by the skin of his teeth, while doing as little as possible.
      5
    • Dake was airing his grievances to the referee, legitimate or otherwise.
      6
    • Dake is giving a post-match interview, expounding on his latest pseudo-science with metaphysical certitude.

Dake is probably the most complete wrestlers USAW has ever had and without Burroughs, he would have a GOAT resume. Despite his brilliance on the mat, he is just as (in)famous for his some of his other antics. What is the first thing that comes to mind if someone said "That's just Dake doin' Dake things"?

Plus, he's not the most complete US wrestler if he was kept off the team for multiple years by another US wrestler.

He just got bested by USAW's best two-sport athlete. No one blended wrestling and striking as well as Burroughs.

And "most complete" doesn't have to mean "best".

Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

I see that someone woke up and chose violence this morning. Ouch.

This is actually a difficult poll to answer.

"I know actually nothing.  It isn't even conjecture at this point." - me

To be clear, my answer was 'Won by the skin of his teeth' due to it being probably the most discussed one of the four the last ten years or so.

Meh, I answered it right… this is like voting for the President where you’re supposed to vote for who you think is going to win, right?

i know some of the things he says are ... odd (btw there's some truth to that stuff)

but he's a pretty sharp dude.

"Odd" is one word.  "Batshit crazy" might be more apt.

I just hope he writes a book about his philosophies… then it gets put on Audible, so I’ll actually “read” it.

There's always a kernel of truth as a point of departure with every rabbit hole conspiracy
