Used up all the scholarship money on the last class and only one in-state kid on the list.

…Cael will probably get all 7 PA kids to walk-on at PSU, though. 😅

I don't think Penn State can fit another body in their building unless they fire the janitor

I hope Iowa snags some or all the following:

#1 Ferrari - connection is obvious with brother already committed.

#56 Ayala - Family connection, solid room guy, provides solid depth in the lower weights.

#73 Voinivich - Hope we snag his older brother Victor from the portal too. Want the Stillwater HS connection. Voinivich and Ferrari HS teammates and friends with LaDarian Lockett (2025). He is Okie States to lose but you never know, supposedly he is open to considering other options.

#27 Manville - Is he a lock to PSU? They seem to be getting awfully crowded. Van Ness/Haines for 3/4 years + Kasak for 4/5 years + Class of 2025 PA State champ Dalton Perry has already committed. Maybe he wants to go there and fight for a starting spot (wouldn't be shocked at all), but it's worth kicking the tires if you're Iowa. He had a very good showing at the US open this past weekend. Lost 1 point matches to Kasak and Mendez.

Probably unlikely to get both Manville and the Voinivich brothers due to weight overlap. Probably unlikely to get any of them, I'm just spitballing here. Would love to go after Cody Merrill as well, but sounds like he'll be a HWT. Who knows how that would play out with Kueter.

Otherwise, hope the groundwork is being laid for class of 2025. Need to have a big haul in that class.

Cody Merrill is a future NCAA champ.  Wonder where he ends up

It’s crazy that he is still uncommitted. Literally one of the best HWT prospects in this class and will legit contend for a NCAA title when the time comes.

Willie said Stanford is still in the mix even with landing Carter Neves committing there . I wander who else might be in his list outside of Stanford. My guess is ASU is also on his list.

Think Ferrari/Ayala is likely, would like to get a few more though. Lawrence, Merrill, Cerchio, Larkin, Manville, Ayoub, etc.

It’s actually the opposite, it’s 100% wrestling.

Repost this in 12 months. I'm happy to eat crow if I'm wrong (but I won't be).

Kid's a stud at both, but they always pick football.

1) What is this flowrestling you speak of

2) i get what you're saying Fletcher, but his father FWIW, told me he'll be wrestling. i know he's good at FB, but how high of a DI prospect is he?

Is Hopke going to Wisconsin? Is so who is he going to roll with that will push him to the next level?

I've heard thru the grapevine that he's another one going the football route.

Incidentally, has there ever been a Hopke-Kueter match in folk or free? That would be fun to see.

Forgot that one.

Hopke’s brother plays baseball at NDSU and is rumored to be in the transfer portal soon if not already. Where he lands to play baseball will greatly influence where Koy goes, imo.

Minnesota very much a player. I’d consider them a favorite, but you can never count out Cael.
