What an old school throw back. Felt like I was watching a post match interview from the 1970's. He looks like he can go back to working in the steel mill next week a champion. Good stuff.

Not too many steel mill jobs left in Pittsburgh these days, but I get the sentiment.  I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up on the coaching staff next year at Pitt.  Hometown kid.

This kid was...just frickin' awesome!

BTW, anyone remember who dropped the F-bomb on TV? I want to say Elam, but I don't think that was it.

Haha I didn't hear the F bomb.  Too many beers probably.

I did take note of Daton Fix in the background as Alirez finishes his match and Fix seemed like he was really happy for him (not sure if they know each other).  Fix seems like a nice kid.

He does seem like a nice kid. And Man...you gotta feel for him. I hope he comes back and wins it next year.

It's gonna drive me nuts now. You could tell Quint puckered up a bit...and that there was no tape delay.

Bonaccorsi reminds me of Stallone in Rocky III going up against Thunderlips.  “The Ultimate Male” vs “The Ultimate Meatball”.  Although this was Hulk Hogan’s quote, it sounds like something Ferrari would say.

Nino is way more Rocky/Rocky II.  Stallone was way more cut up in III.

Not Pittsburgh proper. Coal mines.

Considering the employment prospects for a recently graduated English major, a steel mill job doesn't sound too far off

Love it.  Even that Pitt singlet looks like something from the 70s.

Gregory, on my word, we’ll not carry coals.

No, for then we should be colliers.

I mean, if we be in choler, we’ll draw.

Ay, while you live, draw your neck out o’ the collar

Nino's interviews all weekend were great. Only thing he was missing was a headband and a tshirt that said, "Tough times don't last. Tough people do."

Please someone post a picture of his dad. That was awesome, his dad wasn't even wearing a Pitt wrestling shirt.

His Dad looked like he got out of bed a few hours ago, and went straight from coffee to beer by 11am

Coffee to beer... coffee to beer... coffee to beer...

Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.
