Assuming everything shakes out as planned I think the finals should start at 141 so the final match will be RBY vs Fix. It would also allow for Spencer Lee's last match to be near the end. If they do what I expect them to it will be to start at 133 and make the last match non-competitive.

Thoughts?

Good idea and correct realistic understanding of how it won't happen.

Although I think you couldn't go wrong with 165 last whoever the finalists are.

I agree but I seriously doubt Gomez will make it to the finals, he's banged up and hasn't wrestled since January. I honestly hope I'm wrong because he's my favorite non-PSU wrestler but his all out style and the fact that he's dealing with an injury doesn't bode well.

I'm all for it. But has any news been shared that suggests it's a possibility?  I'm hoping I missed it.  Last I saw Gomez he had a look on his face that meant he didn't think he'd be back this year.

He's said he could go last night, but he's trying to make sure he's 100% for March.

I'm skeptical he'll have the gas tank. That's just ALWAYS an issue when you're talking about a guy who is missing chunks of time with injury, but it sounds like he's going to be fine.

Outstanding!  Any diagnosis ever made public?  Sprained knee/partial tear?

I don't know how anyone can have a favorite other than SL excepting of course your favorite can be from "your team" imo

Not that I know of, but you never heard about that until the end of the year.

And to be clear, I'm getting my information from someone at the RTC and they don't know for certain.

I hope I'm right...but I hope that about literally everyone. As much as I may not be a fan of certain programs, who doesn't want to see...Spencer Lee healthy(other than about 31 other 125LB Wrestlers!

I'm leaving Glory out😉

I don’t think they should stick to weight class order for finals. It should be scripted.

Bunch of grudge matches going on too.

285 - Likely B1G v B1G rematch, First time champ someone is getting excited and celebrating

131 - 3 timer opportunity (but semi-boring)

157 - throwaway (slept on AO’C wins)

184 - grudge match, Hidley finally beats Brooks

174 - grudge match, Lewis/Starocci zzz

Intermission (? Does finals do this, don’t recall)

141 Alirez v Woods (couple hungry aggressive guys, should be entertaining)

197 Throw away

165- grudge match (If Carr beats O’Toole again at XII, swap with 184)

149 - 4 timer

125 - 4 timer

lol,  Aaron Brooks is the Kyle Dake of PSU wrestling.  Keep betting against him fellas.  I'll bet anyone going against Brooks at NCAA's.

Why this match should be hitting 2nd in the lineup.

Feels like he’s more susceptible this year. Something seems a touch off. But would still love for him to win again.

Yes they were both boring. (X’s 2)

May be a surprise, but, 157 is a weak weight class. 197 kind of similar, bunch of mess. Something about being mandatory to crown a champ in all 10 classes, but maybe we can get a petition to skip finals that may not be as good as others? I’ll look into it.

184 - unlikely, but who knows?

I would imagine all of the other 31 guys in the bracket would disagree but hey I made a loose prediction and picked 2 guys.

LOL...he does seem like a likeable kid off the mat. But just as far as viewing, I get why people may not love his style. It's TD and then turns people like a key. It's not the most aesthetically pleasing.

Now I was a huge Andrew Howe fan...so aesthetics mean shit in Wrestling, but if you're talking about guys you like from other teams...I get liking a guy who gets into more scrambles, goes for the throws, big moves rather than just...TD, turn, turn, turn, turn...with one of those turns being a pin.

That said, still calling Glory for Glory.
