Basset vs Stanich?

Or do they wait till All Star Classic, giving Bo a chance to regroup a bit after Worlds?

Wouldn't in any way consider it ducking if Bo doesn't wrestle since All Star Classic only a few weeks away.......

It's be surprised is they want to give Stanich 3 shots at him....but I don't think Bassett's backup situation is strong....anyway if Bassett goes I assume the staff gave him the option and he took it, which wouldn't surprise anyone at this point.

Stanich just tuned up #8 Consiglio from Stanford, so he's in good form already. I would not be shocked at all if he beats Bassett, and not just because Bassett is coming off the freestyle grind and travel. Stanich is very very good.

Looking forward to this if it goes down. Both are exceptional, but Bo seems to be on another level; I may be wrong, and Stanich looks to be in full beast mode. Get the popcorn.

Very excited to see the match.  People just thinking this is a good test for Bo have it completely wrong.  Stanich and Blaze just have styles that combat Bo's very well.  Let him keep pushing and wait for the mistake.  If they can take advantage, they can win.  He won't stop going forward, so there will be opportunities.  I'm really excited to see it go down.  Given how he bounced back from the U23 loss, I won't take too much stock from Bo losing round 1 Friday but still expect he'll pull it off.

I don't know if Stanich can still pull this off, but I do remember Yianni losing to Austin Gomez right after his world silver.

That's the reason that everyone should be a fan of Bo Bassett. 

This match is taking place a week after Bo won a world title on the other side of the planet. I would assume Bo has been spending 99% of this offseason focusing on freestyle. Between the travel and lack of folkstyle reps, I don't think anyone would really blame Bassett if he said he wanted a couple of weeks to gear of for folk and that he'd see Stanich at the All-Star. 

But Bo just doesn't give a rip. He'll genuinely wrestle anyone, anytime. He isn't afraid to lose. He isn't concerned about the circumstances I just mentioned above. He's taking on Stanich for his first official match and could start his collegiate career 0-1.

Hats off to both Stanich and Bo though. They knew this dual was happening and they agreed to wrestle again in two weeks at the all Star to make this year a likely trilogy between them. These guys are dawgs. How great would it be if we had more guys willing to put it on the line like them.

Bo should make it more like a FS match, choose neutral and cut on every TD. Can Stanich hold off all the scoring attempts, or get counters? only the Russian could.

A lot of logical points can be made for Stanich but I can't pick against Bo. Excited to watch Bo in folkstyle which I actually think is his better style historically.

I do admire his spirit.  Love that he isn't going to be someone we have to worry about ducking.
