Do we know if he has eligibility and if its questionable, does Little Rock want to test it after Tyler Brennan?

I believe he can use the old rules (pre 5 for 5) but he would still need a medical for last year.  Has that been granted or applied for?  It didn't seem to end well at Iowa and if Iowa tells the NCAA he wasn't hurt and could of wrestled but chose not to, would the NCAA grant the new medical year.

I would lean toward this being the case. 6th year and no longer any medical shirts or grandfathered athletes. If you competed 5 years you are done.

Where did you hear that there are no more grandfathered athletes? If someone like Aoeden gets hurt and wanted a Medical or wants any Oly Shirt, is that not longer an option? If so, why did they give the option to choose 5 for 5 or the old system?

It's because he was a 2026 "senior" and his eligibility technically ended in Spring of 2026. Under old rules he may have gotten a medical year, but the NCAA confirmed back in April that no seniors would be grandfathered in. Moving forward I believe athletes have more options, but it's still 5 years to compete in 5 seasons. It builds in an automatic injury or RS year, or if you dont' need those then you get 5 NCAA tourneys if you qualify. My understanding is that athletes enrolled now, get the most favorable of the old rule or new 5 for 5.

Yes if they had counted the Iowa 1/2 season it would have been his 7th.

I spoke with someone close to the program and that is correct. He is not going to wrestle this year. But Josiah Hill is back.

Is Brennan back?
