While I understand the context and don't blame the athletes, it does seem like ticket holders should get access to these rescheduled matches for free (via pay per view or a free in-person ticket). Since there is no replacement for 20% of the final matches......there should be some show of support for the fans who are traveling and bought tickets to the event. It is a missed opportunity to keep the fans engaged in my mind. mspart Posted June 16 Posted June 16 What if all matches had a returning medallist and they all requested a delay. You bought thinking you were going to see matches and the ticket is now worthless. That would not be right. What if it was half got a delay? Still no good. I agree, free pay for view access would be a good remedy. You go to an NFL football game expecting to see the game but instead they have an exhibition of HS teams. That's not right. You paid to see a game but not that game. USAWrestling should make this right in my opinion. mspart

We're twelve turns down a rabbit in terms of the process to make the team, the process makes no sense at all unless you watched it devolve, you can practically see the backroom deals going on, cronyism in favor of the established guys is institutional...I'm stunned RAF is criticized in the way it is given this status quo. You are correct. We know the rules, they are well established. Is there anything wrong with the idea of being able to watch the extra matches when they happen for free? For those that bought tickets, they bought rights to see all the matches. If they don't happen at the event, they should have the right to watch when they do happen because they already paid for them. Is that too much to ask? I don't think so. mspart
LJB Posted June 17 Posted June 17 i would be very interested to see the verbiage associated with the ticket where it says the purchaser has the "right(s) to see all the matches" originally scheduled with absolutely no caveats... so please, post the back of those tickets and let us take a look to what any purchaser actually agreed to upon pushing that little button on seat geek...

If OP wants a refund, OP should ask the organization that would grant the refund. If they say no, and there's some kind of proof that they agreed to one with the ticket purchase, THEN come here and marshal support if thats somehow necessary. Sure he only represents 1/11th of starters but he has ~35% of international goals scored by current team. We bought tickets to see goals (also important for winning) so 35% is significant. The tics are on my wife's phone so I can't see the back side. However there was nothing in fine print on the airline tics, car rental agreement, hotel or restaurant docs indicating we can not get a refund if our favorite and most significant team player is unable to play. Thus I'm assuming good chance. However seems like a lot of hassel thus hoping someone on these here boards would start a Gofundme and all my good buddies, including LJB, would kick in on our behalf as took significant coin to get out here. Thanks in advance! .
LJB Posted June 19 Posted June 19 (edited) I have a 100oz insulated jug from Kum’ N ‘ Go that has been collecting loose change for at least the last 15 years… there were times over the last decade when I would rob the quarters from it when things got skinny… haven’t had to do that for a few years, but, also haven’t not dealt in cash for a minute… point being… I am willing to do a 3 finger pinch and donate whatever comes to each and every poor soul who has purchased a sporting ticket and was not 100% satisfied with their experience… of course all anyone has to do to receive my generous gift is provide proof of ticket and an expansive explanation of their exact betrayal… you all are welcome… Edited June 19 by LJB 1
