Askren was up 3-0 after 2 periods, but Muhammad comes back to win 6-3.  Last TD was definitely questionable though, but of course wouldn’t have mattered

We get calls in the USA and they get calls in Europe ?     Cary colat called and asked if you remember stuff.  I’ll have him call you

you don't have the balls to say what you'll enthusiastically imply....this is what a cowards does.

I’m saying most Americans don’t know who a lot of the foreigners are, so there’s really no point in signing so many of them unless people from their countries are watching.

All / most Americans  that watch raf know who the foreign competitors are.  Don’t be silly

I stared my opinion.  We don’t get calls overseas.   They don’t get them over here.  You stated I’m implying something else.  State what I’m implying.

How in the world could Ben shoot?  Go down on his chest with someone on top of him while he was gassed.  Unbelievable.

He might win if he doesn’t shoot those 3/4 times.   Who knows.  He was gassed pretty bad.

I think Muhammad let Ben get all of his points because he respects him so god damn much.  he let him leave the sport as a competitor with dignity and honor.  I think there are times when you can do something like this and its not against the spirit of the rules.  Major hat tip to Muhammad for being a great opponent and letting Ben leave with grace.  A bigger hat tip to Ben for learning the right lessons from his situation and being a great example for the community.

Stop.  No one knows who Mostafa Elders and Mirzo Khiyatov are.  Even the Olympic medalists like Ramazanov and Magomedov are only known by the most hardcore American fans.

European Viewership

Streaming Barriers: Europe makes up a very tiny fraction of RAF's live audience. Because Fox Nation is not widely distributed or heavily marketed across Europe.

Had tears in my eyes watching ben come back and then the interview afterward.  Wrestling is so cool, grateful to be a fan of this sport.

I think the amount of US wrestling fans who know more than Sad, Uguev, Sidakov, Yazdani and maybe Zare+Geno is a trivially small amount. And a lot of the "know group" just recognize the name or some past accomplishment, they have no idea how their career is going currently. They don't know how they did at the last worlds or continentals or how active they have been.

Does Europe have wrestling fans outside the Russian or former Russian areas? I've seen Russia put on some events with something resembling crowds. In the heart of the continent, it's usually mostly empty stands with some combination foreigners, competitors/coaches, bussed in school kids on a field trip .

I know Germany used to have a wrestling magazine back in the 80s, I don't know if any of that exists anymore.

Agree.  I mean I will leave open the possibility that they’re not signing these guys (to get foreigners to watch, but it’s definitely not because Americans want to see them.   I guess it does give the fans in attendance motivation to cheer for the Americans?  Maybe they’re taking less money to sign than the Americans of similar caliber?

I can personally guarantee you RFA is being watched around the world…

chatted with a buddy who has talked to wrestling people in Japan, UZB, KAZ and it is 100% being watched in those areas…

we just saw a packed house in Georgia…

Now what platform is being used to consume RAF I haven’t a clue…
