Obviously not Penn State after he accused Kasak of using steroids.  No room at Oklahoma State.  Iowa seems the most logical option to fill in for Jordan Williams.  Maybe Ohio State?

Long shot would be VT if he wants a go at 165.  Not likely, but Robie wouldn't turn him away.

He is more likely to go 149 than 165, I think.

Or at least those better in the know on Cornell stuffs have been saying.

Also, he doesn't look big for 157lbs.  In matches where he struggled, it was typically a power thing (Taylor, Cardenas).

Doesnt that sound like cope to you? It doesn't have to but it sure does to me. I doubt he was at the wrong weight on behalf of the Fernandez kid, who was good but not at the forefront of any conversations.

I'm sorry, what do you mean 'cope?'

I agree that it likely wasn't Fernandez.  I always assumed it was because he was closer to 74 KG than 65 KG and 157 made more sense for that, come time for MFS.

I have always thought of Michigan as one of the schools who work hard not to work hard in a match. The Mantanona brothers are different in this respect. This is just an opinion.

Cope means an explanation fabricated in order to avoid a more unpleasant one. When I here "by the way Shapiro was a 149 the whole time" I feel like someone is trying to avoid saying "despite his skill, he's not consistent enough  to navigate an NCAA bracket".

Do you believe that? Honest question not, "jerking chains."

Yeah I do. He seems to me to be as talented as anyone in the NCAA, and I'm not sure what resource someone would think he needs to succeed at this point. It also seems like someone hires a publicist every time he gets hurt, which isn't a great sign.

When he had that match against the harvard kid where he got concussed, people were calling for his coaches' heads, but when I saw that I felt like it was much more likely that he's that dramatic regularly than that his coaches are such jerks that they don't care about the health of the most valuable asset they have on their team. I don't think he'd be fun to coach.

I am not sure at all where he goes. He could fit into Ohio State lineup if Cannon goes up and Stiles stays at 149.

Virginia Tech could slot him in at 157 if Gaj redshirts. They do have Nininger.

Iowa needs a 157.

Missouri needs a 157.

Iowa State sorta needs a 157, but you assume with Paniro or Frost will bump.

Will Stanford need a 157 if Cardenas does go to the portal?

So Antrell is moving up to 165 for sure then?

I don't think he is that big.   Nebraska doesn't make much sense unless he is going 149.

Let's not put too much weight into what Mineo throws against the wall.
