Are short people discriminated against? [yes]  Are they oppressed? [no]

If you can understand why that is true for short people then you can understand why it is true for white males.

Anyone can be treated differently due to their traits rather than merit.  That is discrimination.

Short people, white people, black people, women, poor, etc. are not subordinated by a power system that compounds disadvantages across life in a way that their personal agency cannot override.  They are not oppressed.

I do not agree.

What sources of information did you use to come to these conclusions?

Did this article give you something to think about and maybe reconsider the 'personal agency' fallacy?

Are you asking to know what the definition of discrimination and oppression is?

I'm old enough to know many people that rose from poverty and food stamps to self sufficiency.  The article does not describe oppression.

So you at least agree blacks are discriminated against as well, correct?

How about everyone is discriminated against and we have equity.   End of conversation.

Europeans were not slaves in the US.  Indentured servants were not slaves.

The topic is stupid.  People alive today didn’t enslave anyone in this country.   We don’t owe them $$$ especially if people who enslaved our ancestors don’t owe us $$$
