Who are some wrestlers who need to transfer that have not entered the transfer portal.

I'll name off some, Zeth Romney, Tagen Jamison, Cole Mirasola, Nate Desmond.

Typically the names that come to mind are solid wrestlers that are or will be buried because of team depth. Besides the ones that you mention some other names are: Braeden Davis, Joe Sealy, Ronnie Ramirez, Cael Hughes, Kody Routledge, Evan Frost, Mikey Dellagatta,

I'm confused why Joe Sealey hasn't transferred yet, he could be a solid aa threat.

I saw his name dropped a bit before the transfer portal opened but haven’t seen anything since but William Henckel was one guys were mentioning before…I wouldn’t have minded him taking a look at Ohio State…

So what's the criteria for "needs to transfer"?  Zeth Romney went from being a solid recruit (not elite) to being an All-American at Poly. He has developed very well at Poly, He may end up in the portal, but but I am not sure he needs to do that.

Yeah WTF? we're not happy till everyone gets poached? Aren't there any App State guys who could get stolen first?

Zeth could make himself so money in the portal. I don't even know what happened to him this year but in the matches of him I watched at the cklv, it seemed like he regressed.

I think he was injured and took a medical redshirt.

LOL... yeah, remember when Bentley went nuclear over coaches trying to poach MIlner at the NCAA tournament? He stayed and was a 2x AA, and the NCAA did nothing about tampering - as expected.   Good on Campos who was 4th at NCAA as a sophomore and is staying at American- maybe guys are starting to figure out that they stick with what got them there because they got them there.

So "needs" to transfer is based on that they can make money in the portal?  Isn't that more of a "want" when the program they wrestled for already got them to the podium? He  was injured, med FFT out of Midlands two weeks later and never wrestled again. He will get a med year.

Bouzakis is in a tight spot. I don't think he can beat davino for 133 but the cut at 125 was clearly brutal for him.

Aden Valencia just one a Championship at one of the most prestigious academic institutions in the world as a freshman. Even if he doesn't win the rest of his career a degree from Stanford can him make WAY more money in the long term than NIL can. Didn't all the Stanford people in the portal get their degrees in 3 years? Makes sense why they would jump into the portal.

It’s an interesting math problem. The future value of $100k at 9.5% for 40 years is $3.75M. That works out to needing an extra $94,000 per year in income or excess investment income growth to break even. My Northwestern degree isn’t worth what it cost me. I should have accepted all the full rides I received instead.

So I'm not sure what you majored in nor what your career path is. Just going by google the average median salary of a northwestern undergrad degree is 76-80k. For Stanford though its 99-117k. At the same time most of the top wrestlers don't even end up using their degrees and just go the Olympic path. If I were a finance major or something it's a joke to compare how far the Stanford name goes when compared to Iowa or Ohio state. At the end of the day the choice is there's and I've never had the option to make potentially hundreds of thousands for transferring so what do I know lol

Not interest technically, but you could get that return invested in the stock market.  The problem is that most college kids are going to spend it and not invest.

Zeth Romney needs to just not wrestle.  Any turdbiscuit who legitimately approaches matches to intentionally hurt his opponent should not wrestle.

I feel like if you can qualify for nationals but can't crack the lineup, you should heavily consider transferring. Here is a list of some people that fall under that:
