When our window opened, I'm not sure if we had access to everything available or only a subset. But if we wanted to buy a single ticket for either gymnastics or track and field, each ticket would have been over a thousand dollars. I wanted Wrestling finals or even semis- but those were jacked up in price as well. In any event, despite my negative feelings about the price levels, I'm grateful to have a single pair of tickets that didn't break the bank. 1 1

For Paris I purchased category A tickets for all men's freestyle sessions. They were 190 Euros for finals sessions and 100 Euros for preliminary/quarterfinal sessions. The processing fee was 1.5%. Category A tickets for these games are $682.17 for the finals sessions and $396.90 for the prelims and the processing fee is ~24%.

WRE04 greco 77/97kg semis, 60/130 kg medal matches, women’s 53 kg semis and 50kg medal matches WRE08 free 57/86kg semis, women’s 62kg semis, Greco 67/87kg medal matches, women’s 57 kg medal matches Wanted to get freestyle medal matches but nothing I could find. 1

Yeah, I'm a little on the fence about buying tickets because the crazy service fee seems like a form of extortion. Those Category A tickets come out to around $850 for finals and $500 for prelims. Category B seats are pretty good and are almost $400 for finals and $210 for prelims. It doesn't sound too bad, but that's the ticket price per session. The official (safest option) resale ticket platform won't launch until next year, but will likely still have the high service charges. The IOC sux.
mspart Posted April 9 Posted April 9 I checked out FIFA world cup tickets here in Seattle. Cheapest was $250 per ticket nose bleed to $650 per ticket nosebleed depending on the match. I decided I will watch from home. After hearing the LA prices, I am going to watch from home. That's a lot of money saved from transport, hotel, food, watch the matches. A very expensive few days. Sure it is the Olympics but I have a better seat on my couch. mspart 1

So my friend who had a time slot for today was able to log on about 30 minutes after the window opened 10:30 PT and there were no standard tickets for categories B-C available for any wrestling sessions. The only tickets available for any of the cheaper categories were wheelchair tickets or wheelchair companion tickets. There were no standard tickets at all available for the sessions with men's freestyle except for the first preliminary session Thursday morning. The only standard tickets available for wrestling sessions 1-7 (Greco and the 1 preliminary/quarter final session featuring men's freestyle) were in category A. The good news is that those prices you found include the 24% fee. So a finals category A ticket has a price of $550 and after the 24% service fee is $682.17. These were available for the finals sessions Tuesday and Wednesday. The prelim sessions Monday-Thursday has some category A availability. These were $320 plus a 24% service fee for a total of $396.90. The session Monday evening was priced between the quarterfinals and the finals. This session only has semifinals and no medal matches. Only category A tickets were available for this too, but I forge the exact price. There would only be six total matches during this sesssion. Today was the first day of slots in drop 1. Unless they are adding more tickets to the drop each day I suspect everyone will be pretty disappointed with the wrestling ticket selection. 1

To be clear category A was all that remained in standard/non-wheelchair seats and it was only available for sessions 1-7. I am hoping more of the more affordable category B and C seats get released for sessions 1-13 when tomorrows 10 PT window opens otherwise I will have to scale back my attendance plans. I was hoping to attend sessions 7-13. Will have to log on exactly at 10:00 PT tomorrow and find out. If they don't release more tickets for later windows then I don't really get why they have windows spread over 10 days for a single ticket drop (drop 1).

Cheapest tickets were about $400 a pop, and nothing after 7/26 was showing up for me. I'm not sure why some sessions are listed as "Currently unavailable" and others as "Standard tickets currently unavailable" nut I assume more spots will be released later. 1

My slot finally came Saturday morning - nothing was left but greco, and I'm not paying $600 x 4 for greco tickets when I won't watch it for free at home. Swimming mixed prelims (the only remaining available session) was $4400 in the nosebleeds for a family pack. Again, hard pass.
