Factoring in the MFF is on point and appropriate. Did anyone else with a different last name lose a semi and then not wrestle any more?  (That's a rhetorical question, folks.)

Greg Kerkvleit did it fairly recently.  Was it last year?

I'm looking to see if there's an interview with Kerkvleit last year. Did he say he was hurt in the quarters and wasn't going to wrestle in the semis and then talk about how going into the match was about being a man that the match was like "Spartan going against the Persians" then immediately say Hendrickson needs to be drug tested?

My issue is the excuses. If the injury is only an issue when you lose then I don't want to hear it. I just think it's a coincidence Ferrari is only injured when he gets taken down ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

He needs to be more like Spencer Lee, "Excuses are for wusses"

I know that with your title you are probably a doctor and are medically cleared to understand who is and who isn’t injured and what that should mean wafter the frontside loss.

Edit: I should also add your short term burner account status makes your opinion well.   Whatever

Yep, then Spencer quit & did not wrestle back.

That's hilarious 😭. I just meant he didn't make an excuse when he got stuck by Ramos. I don't think he made an excuse when he lost to Desanto either in high school

Hey I'm just noticing a coincidence that whenever he gets taken down he's injured. Happened at national duals against Feldman, happened in the Big Ten Finals against Ghidali, happened against Yonger. Like I said maybe his body can tell when he starts losing and it decides to flare the injury up then.

And unless you have some knowledge of the medical field it looks like you're in the same area as me, which is knowing nothing. Then we can only form opinions based on what we see. Shocking I know! 😱

I don’t think anyone has any knowledge of what’s going on except maybe his trainer and his head coach and his doctor. But you can carry on.

It was ok when kerk did it though I assume ?

You just said the same thing I said but that's okay.

Unlike some of the other guys on this thread I don't care that he injury defaulted. It's the excuses that kill me. If you lose and immediately start saying "I only lost because of this injury" then you're just salty and trying to take away from the guy who rightfully won. It's exactly why you won't see me criticizing Angelo for it. We know he's been hurt all season and on top of that he's not whining that Mcenelly won.

Kerk injury defaulting out is the same thing as Lee injury defaulting out. If you feel like you're risking more than the reward in terms of health then I don't blame you for doing it. Just don't be a crybaby if you do.

Psu fans need to be reminded their people get hurt and mff out all the way to 6th place too.   Sometimes they mff out of bigs and cry about their seeds at NCAAs.  Heck even sometimes they mff out of bigs… pretend to be healthy… and then don’t even wrestle at all at NCAAs.

I don't know who you're directing this at because I'm not a PSU fan. I hold no D1 affiliations. If I'm not alumni I could care less if you do well lol. If you're referring to Starocci then he deserves criticism If he cries about seeds after MFF out of big 10s regardless of whether he won it or not.

See how easy it is to be consistent? It's called being true to your morals

I think the takeaway is some people love AJs incessant bravado and others don’t. Thats fine. For better or for worse he doesn’t really give anyone the option of being neutral since he insists on posting polarizing stuff all the time. Personally I find him extremely cringy and it’s hard to ignore the sexual assault charges (that yes were dropped after his lawyers made the victim’s life miserable) and the numerous anecdotes of his and his family’s troubling behavior in Stillwater that didn’t make it outside of the community onto forums and whatnot.

Maybe I missed it somewhere on here, but did anyone else notice that Anthony Ferrari MFF’d out of the SoCon tournament after he lost his first round match?

I know it’s kind of a joke about the other Ferrari’s MFFing at NCAA’s, but seriously…is this how they were raised? If you don’t get what you want, take your ball and go home? AJ Sr. must be real proud.

Wonder if this was a trend in HS and club for them.

Maybe, maybe not. RA - US Army. Law enforcement. Years of mountaineering, guiding.

We all have our own challenges. Quitting on the team isn't one I have experienced.

To be honest I completely forgot there was a third Ferrari brother. Clearly the red headed stepchild of the bunch. It gives them a convenient out. You lose once you can say you were hurt, but you end up going 2/2 or something the plausible deniability goes away

There were several that MFF'd out this year.  both Ferrari's, Joey blaze, Zach Ryder, Echemendia

Blaze wrestled his consi semi and only MFF his placement match. Ryder finished 8th and only MFF the placement match.

I think just the Ferrari's and Echemendia were the only 3 to MFF out of the consi semis.  And the Ferraris were the only ones to lose their semifinal (Ech won 2 matches in the consolations on Friday night) and then MFF out of the tourney.

I know there are a bunch of people upset at all of the MFFs which I can see both ways. I think the biggest issue is the Yonger PED accusation. That's corny. The same thing with Meyer Shapiro last year.

I personally think it's lame to bring people to the center to pray with you when you win and then cry about your injury and accuse people of PEDs when you lose. If the injury was that bad he should've MFF out of the semis

Hey give the guy some credit. He also flips birds, does splits, and starts fights when he wins. Plus he cheers on his teammates in front of the ESPN cameras when he loses. Dude works hard!

Per the guys on the Quad Pod podcast, not only did Ferrari have the media rant about Bastida/steroids right after he lost Friday night but Saturday morning at weigh ins he was apparently saying it to Bastida to his face at weigh ins.   He also allegedly went after Ghadiali about being a fake Chrisitian at weigh ins as well.  They also added Joey Blaze got him to shut up.

Further proof the apology of "I was just saying NCAA should test in general not implying my semifinal opponent" is complete bull
