Well, it was actually for killing a police officer, despite what they call it.

You kill a religious police guy, you are declaring war on God.   If he killed someone, then death is a normal penalty around the world.  Seems pretty swift compared to our justice system.

The difference with our justice system is that there would be an attempt to verify that he really killed a police man, which I find highly questionable given how protesters are mowed down by the thousands over there.

He absolutely deserved due process. Iran's legal system is barbaric compared to ours (even when ours doesn't function properly).

I think the point RV is making is that right wingers are being hypocritical. We all know if an American protestor killed a cop you all would be arguing for the death penalty. You all vehemently defended cops killing protestors just a couple months ago.

Take this opportunity to reflect on how you've spoken about political protestors in our country. Your critiques of Iran ring hollow because you don't hold your own country to the same standards.
