AKA definitely works for guys with wrestling base. Cormier and Cain, amongst others, became competent strikers who could still effectively wrestle. I'm not sure what Bo is trying to do? Does he think he's going to become a brawler like Gaethje or Chandler?
-
Bo should be training with Cormier (AKA) and the Dagestani's when they're in the US. ATT is a great team but I don't think they have the right playbook for someone like Bo.

What is happening with Pam Bondi?

She constantly lies, along with everybody else in this regime. -
Apparently he chooses not to take a punch. Prob doesn't get punched during training. Maybe he should go back to blue hair?
-
The biggest part is Bo can't take a punch. Everything else is irrelevant if you go into flight mode upon taking any damage.

That Pam Bondi is incompetent and we need Merrick Garland back in charge. -

Correct. He is part of the 2023 graduating class, whereas Lilledahl is part of the 2024 graduating class. Similarly, I would say 2013 was the last year with no true freshman AA's as Garrett took a grey shirt. -

There was for sure talk that they were coming to Iowa State. We were on the same visit as Kyler, Meza, and Castillo. It for sure was his second choice but they want (ed) to follow in Dad's footsteps at ASU. Side Note: That recruiting visit was off the chain with the talent there. Lockett, Larkin, Routledge on and on. If Iowa State could have got 1/2 those guys, man oh man.
-
From here it looks like a choice between J.D. and Marco.

There are a few guys that can be argued are the GOATS of Wrestling for around their weight classes (B. Satiev, Smith, Sadulaev, Karelin, etc.) Who are the guys that at their absolute best, could have beaten anyone at any time including those GOATS? Here are a few that at their best would've been hard to beat by anyone. Who are some others? Jordan Burroughs-(only career better is B. Satiev) Tom Brands Adam Saitiev Karam Gaber Omid Noroozi Les Gutches Saghid Sajidov Gable Steveson Toghrul Asgarov Reza Yazdani Lee Kemp Daniel Igali

How do we seed 65 KG and 74 KG right now? 65 KG entries: Jesse Mendez Bo Bassett Aden Valencia Seth Gross Real Woods Brock Hardy Marcus Blaze Carter Young You have Gross and Blaze coming up, and the others there. I could see Bassett getting seeded above Valencia because he has had two MFS wins over him the last year. Real hard to place Blaze, but I could see Gross getting the 2, 3, or 4 in that bunch. I don't like the above because it puts Gross/Blaze in the QF. That said, NLWC hasn't entered yet, and Barlett will be there to break up that matchup... another week of entries still to go. Do we see any 57 KG guys give it an actual go at 65 KG? If Blaze is the 7 and Bassett is the 2 we could see that as a QF as well. Those not yet entered who could: Zane Richard Thomas Gilman Reyes Sanchez Dom Munaretto Daniel DeShazer Vincent Robinson Troy Spratley Liam Cronin Nico Provo Brendan McCrone Austin Assad Brady Roark Nick Lee Ruben Calderon Lucas Byrd Drake Ayala Zeth Romney Beau Bartlett Ben Davino Austin Desanto Michael McGee Fernando Barreto Tom Crook WOW 74 KG entries: David Carr Quincy Monday Jarrett Jacques Michael Caliendo Peyton Hall Joey Blaze Ed Scott Elroy Perkin I think you put Caliendo just above Hall, right? Blaze could be before Hall or after Hall, but I think he is before Scott based off nothing, really. Blaze did beat him in 2023-24 in Folkstyle 4-1 in OT. That makes me think Blaze could drop to #8/8 on this list. Now for a list of guys qualified we could see at 74 KG that aren't registered (yet)... Terrell Barraclaugh That's it. Unless we see Andonian up from 70 KG (doubt it). I also suppose we could see Burroughs or Nolf in at 74 KG (also doubt it). Bearclaw would slot in just above Peyton Hall since he just beat him at the Open. Could be above Caliendo, but I think they give it to Caliendo on that one. Maybe not. Either way Caliendo/Bearclaw would be a 4/5 matchup. Thoughts?

The COVID Wealth Transfer

The NCAA lost a ton of money in 2020 from not having March Madness basketball. The NCAA couldn't afford to lose out on football revenue and basketball revenue in the 2020-2021 school year, but they realized there would be reluctance on the part of athletes to waste a year of eligibility if the season did not happen or was cancelled midway through. They countered this by assuring athletes that participating in 2020-2021 would not harm their eligibility, ensuring that most athletes would agree to play and that the NCAA would get their normal revenue streams. (Don't forget that in the 2020-2021 school year, it didn't seem to be guaranteed that a full season could go off without a hitch) - Today

I mean, the thinking was they canceled the NCAA tournament that year and wanted to give the athletes a year to make up for losing a year.

Yes -
Your data is stark and sad. I do not understand the reasoning for the free covid year. Not impacting eligibility. What was the logic? Can someone remind me? Seems poorly thought through.
