Penn State, Ohio State - sex abuse problems
wrestle87 replied to AgaveMaria's topic in College Wrestling
If you are a kid on a scholarship, the first one from your family to go to a college, and you are entirely unfamiliar with big college environments, you may have nothing to fall back on, and causing a stink with a university professional is a great way to get kicked out, especially since most college athletes felt like they were typically persona non-grata away from their sporting environment anyway. This dude put student athletes in a position to choose their dignity or their future, career etc. Horrifyingly calculated behavior. -

Dude… Firstly, student athletes can be minors. Second, the power and influence dynamic dictates the entire situation. Also, f*cking really? -

Not really interesting at this point when we know that's not true. -
I just threw up a new database that has all ~40k matches that have taken place at the NCAA D1 championships. Check it out here. I just noticed the search and filter aren't working. I'm going to have to reach out to try and figure out why. Enjoy!

I don't know man... I don't get it. I would think if a Dr molested me, I would beat the hell out of him, but it's obviously not that simple. Penn State, I got nothing there. Seeing a kid in the shower is... just instant and undeniable. -

"Any other explanation is not realistic?" A-Again, he doesn't need ANY explanation, what he's doing is objectively legal and protected 1st amendment activity. B-If that's a State Vehicle, it's entirely possible he wanted information about who was driving for any number of reasons, the most obvious being to file a complaint. And it's clear the guy KNOWS he's in the wrong given how quickly he jumps back into his car and is out of there. But you actually have some takes that are SO stupid that...he could have "backed up to change lanes." Because that's normal driving and legal! -
when these conditions start intermingling I assume there is a lot of unexplored territory in terms of optimal treatment. Difference between individuals are vexing enough in terms of treatment, then add a few more conditions and the variables must be exponential. Its sort of like when an elderly person has a condition that can't be referenced without mentioning 3 others, you know they're in trouble.

Ok... so you don't believe in the 1st amendment. Got it. The people who carry the little constitution to show how much they love their Country, they just piss on it time and time again when they continue to justify eroding the rights of those you don't agree with. -In public -Filming Both explicitly and adjudicated to be LEGAL 1st Amendment PROTECTED speech, but you think it's justified to point a gun at a guy at him for that? That's...certainly AN opinion. Lining up so consistently with the right's blatant hypocrisy here. -

Yup! And there are 4 or 5 on here who are also saying he's actually a leftist who...for some reason voted for Trump. But I'm indifferent about the trolls on social media and more disturbed by the US Senator. You can't really play word games with that one... -
??? LOL...not even talking about Trump here. Talking about what a clown you are. So... I guess that's your big boy way of saying you really have nothing when it comes to me being "woke," or ANY time I've defended "terrorists?" Cool. I'm going to go back to utilizing the ignore feature Scout/Jimmy.

What’s the Best Piece of Advice You’ve Ever Received?
Hammerlock3 replied to jross's topic in Non Wrestling Topics
Work is the exchange of the present for the future. -
I would THINK if they haven't gotten it under control by now... the update would have been even worse. Staph for nearly a month running rampant? I'm just trying to understand based on the updates, but it seems to like staph was bad, it was everywhere (being in the type of shape he was in only made it worse as he probably waited longer to go than most) and that caused the damage and now he needs to recover and exhibit some signs that he can survive a transplant or respond to treatmen. But that's my very uneducated interpretation of everything I've read.

While we're at it who is the worst actor/actress? I'm saying Laura Linney. She has no range, and is bad at what she does.

Better. Now just go a step further and acknowledge Iran is really NOTHING like Iraq, Afghanistan, Egypt, Jordan, Syria...other than they're brown and mostly Muslim (after the Ayatollah took the most prominent Jew, hung him, left him in the street as a sign to the other Jews to get out in '79)... As for Regime change, that's mostly for the Iranian people, but I'd sure as hell be juuust fine with the US helping them out. You just keep talking about "that region" like there's NO difference... AND you act like MOST of those theocratic countries are... just a different culture, but they don't want to force their Religion on you(When ALL evidence point to the contrary including polling). Saudia Arabia, Jordan, Egypt, Palestine, between 70 and 80% CONSISTENTLY say they believe in Apostasy... Now in THAT poll, they didn't even include Iranian people because...it's just too dangerous. An Iranian women who goes to a protest a MILD penalty is just taking an eye out, so they're going to toe the party line as often as possible and be VERY leery of questions that are critical of the Islamic Republic of Iran. And YET... So really no matter how you put it, Iran...is different. And if you're so worldly that you've talked to Iranian people...again, especially IN the US, I think you'd have to make an effort to find people who agree with you. And I think it'd be difficult.
