When will the wrestling community admit there's a problem?
Chigachanuk replied to Tripnsweep's topic in College Wrestling
When they have one. All walks of life have occasional problems, why should the 99% be subjected to being required to bow down to those, like you, who want to make some isolated incident into a common indictment? -

Brooks story: True or False?
Hammerlock3 replied to Interviewed_at_Weehawken's topic in International Wrestling
there is some serious goal post shifting going on. Whether or not Brooks should be criticized for stating something he believes is a different subject than whether everything he's every said is in good taste and in keeping with the humility his claims imply he should be embodying. -
It’s not a right, it was a crime for the first 200 years of this country. If you steal a stop sign and it causes an accident that kills a pregnant woman, you can be charged for two counts of murder. Abortion is now legal in some states, not in others. Your concern is that it’s not federally funded everywhere.

Public Funding for Infrastructure: Illinois taxpayers are contributing nearly $200 million for infrastructure improvements related to the center. This includes $174 million for roadwork in and around Jackson Park and $50 million for renovations to the Garfield Green Line station, with half of the station's renovation costs covered by a federal grant Federal Reimbursements: A significant portion of the state's expenditure on these infrastructure projects is expected to be reimbursed by the federal government. Reports indicate that at least $139 million—about 80% of the public funding—will likely be covered by federal funds.

In fact, in an email to FactCheck.org, James Pritchett, the director of public and media communications at the National Archives and Records Administration, confirmed that the Obama Presidential Center will be a “private entity” and “will not receive any funding from the National Archives.” NARA operates the other presidential libraries, but it will not operate the Obama library

Pretty clear he'll push the envelope as far as possible. If he could get away w deporting anybody he wanted, he'd do that too. Just for burning a flag or protesting against him.

When will the wrestling community admit there's a problem?
Hammerlock3 replied to Tripnsweep's topic in College Wrestling
If this is a useful topic, not uselessly pretending an insanely general problem is specific to wrestling, let me know the general practice most of us support which is enabling this behavior and has to be changed. -

A pretty important guy said “in fact it was the same date, the exact same date the end of the civil war, it was meant for the babies of slaves, so clean and so obvious” …is it your contention that the word “only” is not implied there? But if we’re going to be that literal here, then you might want to take a look at the word “all” in the actual amendment…
-
You put it in quotes so who said it? Yes it applied to others after civil war believe including kids of those fighting in the war.
