  2. Dake fan. But was rooting for Zahid. Just never liked the call with Brooks call. Probably was grabbing clothes. Just didn't like it. So maybe sympathetic to see him win spot. Plus he is all in to make it happen. Not sure he wins final x but like to see it. Signed, Mr. Softy
  3. I have no problem with execution for murder. I would rather have the person convicted to actually be guilty. I am uneasy putting an innocent person to death. So If it is 100% clear on guilt, no problem. Unfortunately , there have been convictions that were later overturned. That is sad in itself and good that they weren't executed. So I think I am on the fence in this debate. Very good debate though. mspart
  4. I think we did regardless Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. We really need some help at 133 now.
  6. Enough to be proud of. Actually I loved the bros!! mspart
  7. Just knowing you won the interwebs is prize enough. Congrats !! mspart
  8. Actually not true. RV told us he voted fro Trump so that he could demonstrate to the country what a dunce Trump is. He seemed vindicated in 2020, but not so much in 2024. mspart
  9. Just guessing that it had nothing to do with her legal troubles. RV has declared her completely innocent so that can't be it. https://abc7ny.com/post/wisconsin-supreme-court-temporarily-suspends-milwaukee-judge-following-arrest/16286519/ "This court is charged in the Wisconsin Constitution with exercising superintending and administrative authority over the courts of this state. In the exercise of that constitutional authority and in order to uphold the public's confidence in the courts of this state during the pendency of the criminal proceeding against Judge Dugan, we conclude, on our own motion, that it is in the public interest that she be temporarily relieved of her official duties." Looks like I was wrong. mspart
  10. We went to DC recently. That was good. First day was the Holocaust museum. It traces the history fro WWI, to Weimar, to Hitler, to the final solution. Very sobering. After 3-4 hours of that, we went to the Black History Museum just down the road. We were hungry so we went to their cafeteria. Best food of all time!!! It was great. A bit spendy, but really fantastic fried chicken, cornbread, sweet potato, pecan pie etc. I highly recommend it. The museum itself was also a sobering story of how black africans were enslaved and brought over to the Americas and were very ill treated. Highly recomenned both of these as well as the Air and Space Museum at the Mall and the Udvar-Hazy at Dulles. Hoping to make it to Italy again in the next year or so. 3-4 weeks this time, maybe visit another country or two. mspart
  11. In college, I believe there's an ongoing lawsuit between BLAF and the University of Florida football player, whose name slips my mind atm, who signed away a 15% cut of his pretax pro football earnings, including signing and incentive bonuses, for the next 25 years. He plays for the Chicago Bears now. Anyway, he sued BLAF because he didn't have any support or representation and just saw the upfront $$$ and signed without fulling realizing what he was getting himself into. Nilly is another agency that gives college athletes money upfront but I think they take a % of players' total promotion & sponsorship deals (rather than pro salary) for a fixed period of time.
  12. A mid-major seems like the next logical stop on his journey.
  13. The WI supreme court released a statement saying precisely why they suspended her.
  14. The Dems probably asked their media friends to generate fake poll results to fit their narrative.
  15. Cooper Flynn in the portal. Was never in the cards to go 133, I don’t think. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. And the judge that won suspended your hero judge. mspart
  17. Another fantasy loss for Dake. I got Dake over Father Time +/- 5 years. He's just too close with Mother Nature.
  18. So the highest court in WI suspends the judge, apparently based on nothing. So it is of no concern to RV. His legal mind is much greater than those of the WI SC. Hubris is amazing. mspart
  19. If I read what Schumer said correctly, he thinks Trump stinks because his poll numbers are not good but his own poll numbers are worse, but they come and go and are of no concern. You just can't make this stuff up. mspart
  20. Maybe didn't keep her oath as an officer of the court?
  21. Best option might be to earmark or donate directly to the wrestling program, as long as it doesn't take away from what the department allocates for wrestling. My guess is that once the dust settles, there won't be much of a difference between giving to the athletic dept vs. an NIL collective, as there's speculation that they'll all fall under one umbrella or that collectives will go away altogether.
  22. I don't really care if she was removed from her job temporarily. The arrest was bogus though. She may have done something wrong in the eyes of some people but nothing criminal here.
  23. Skeptical is a postive spin. The Hulkster is a well-known huckster. How does that saying go? Hoping for the best...
  24. Financial engineers love a challenge. The one that they have mostly not yet cracked is the David Bowie trade. Bowie sold the right to his future royalties over a ten year period for a flat payment. It was structured as a bond, but that is essentially what it was. Others have tried to get into the business of paying students a flat fee in exchange for some percentage of their future earnings. Very few people have wanted to do this though because they fear what will happen if they hit it big, but have to give a big chunk to investors. The one I have heard of that has had success is Big League Advantage. They are an investment fund that pays minor league baseball players up front cash for a percentage of their future major league earnings. Because so few make the major leagues, more players are inclined to accept. BLA just needs a couple grand slams to compensate them for the strike outs (sorry). Probably the most famous deals they have done are Elly De La Cruz, who signed away 10% of all future MLB earnings for up front cash. They pay $50k per 1%, so De La Cruz got $500k at a time when he was making next to nothing. The other is Fernando Tatis Jr. who got $350k for 8% at a time he was making $10k per year. When Tatis Jr. signed his $340 million deal BLA was owed $27.2 over the life of the deal. They have done something like 500 deals with about 100 making the majors for some minimum amount of time. BLA has also been raising money to do NIL deals. So it is coming.
  25. Thank you wkn. My wife’s 5’11” and comes from a basketball family. I hope to get my way with that. Here he is
