  1. Past hour
  2. All jokes aside, Kemererer and Eireman were older in their final seasons at Iowa.
  3. Both Columbus Day and Indigenous Peoples. Day is observed and recognized all across the US, each getting their coin as a holiday in the latter part of the 20th century. Columbus, for the man who set out for Asia but missed and landed in the Carribean. While he never made it to North America, the door was opened from there. Indigenous Day, for the people who became enslaved and started losing their land once he did disembark on this region of the world.
  4. Today is Columbus Day..
  5. All it takes is money. And there is a donate linkon their website.
  6. Elizabeth Warren. All 1/1,024
  7. If I was a bank loaning in the money i would require up to date data (every 2 weeks) on the grades and students progress in general. It would all be in the loan agreement. I would also require a co-signer on all loans.
  8. Today
  9. Good news. Maybe even great news. Some of the 10 who tried to kill ice in Texas were in fact charged with terrorism related charged in addition to the murder and firearms charges. So you would agree it’s working I bet.
  10. Nebraska is absolutely an elite NCAA program and fields a trophy contender year after year. But the 2025 tournament was probably the most improbably run that has ever happened at NCAAs. It was amazing to watch, but you had wrestlers outperform their seed at: 125: Smith 7th place (9 seed) 133: Van Dee 7th place (17 seed) 149: Lovett 1st place (2nd seed) 157: Taylor 1st place (3rd seed and pulled a significant upset over Shapiro to make the finals) 165: Minto 4th place (12 seed) 184: Allred 7th place (12 seed) 197: McDanel 8th place (20 seed) 7 of their 9 wrestlers outperformed their seeds, and they had 5 wrestlers outside of AA seeds make the podium (I'd imagine that has to be the first time that has ever happened). Their only two "underperformances" were #1 seed Hardy taking second and #8 Pinto falling in R12. Take out this historic overperformance and in the previous 5 tournaments they finished: 2024: 9th 2023: 8th 2022: 5th 2021: 12th 2019: 10th They will absolutely be in the hunt for trophies, but like Truzz, I have a hard time picturing Nebraska keeping up with some other programs (as of now) beyond this season. I'd pick them to be battling for a top 5ish spot at NCAAs before finishing second again with their current roster/commits.
  11. Or even worse. What if their grades stink. AND they major in something financially silly like gender studies.
  12. Business loans go through all of that. What is the loan for? What is the plan? How will you pay this back? The problem is that student loans are not a one loan operation. Each semester or year they have to grab more money and there is little accounting for where it goes. Much of it goes to tuition and housing. But a good part of it goes to living expenses. Which are not small for today's college students. There is little accountability throughout the process. So after two years, there should be an accounting. What major are you going into? Women's studies? We don't have any more money for that. Oh you meant Pre-Med? We have funding for that. Engineering? We have funding for that. Gender diaspora studies? We have quarter funding for that? etc etc. Pretty soon the kid leaves college or is on a better track for professional attainment. If a kid can show that his/her English degree will be parlayed into an MBA, then there is probably funding for that. It all depends on the plan and if it makes financial sense to the loan agency. mspart
  13. Read it slower. I’ll add notes in bold They shall get that too hopefully (a terrorism charge). Like the ones (the antifa) who tried to kill those ice members. I expect a terrorism charge for that (self explanatory)
  14. The Mills boys are all college 133s or smaller with the exception of Jaheim (that I'm aware of). That being said, I'm assuming tOSU staff plans on having Davino move up after this year and Bouz sliding back into 133 for his senior year, and a battle at 125 between Munaretto, Mills, Kilkeary, and McCrone in 26-27. Then at some point a Munaretto, Mills, Davino 1-2-3. The Mills family is definitely worth investing in. I'm extremely curious to see how good he'll be by his senior year, and then you'd think it's likely that the next brother coming up, Aviyahn, will probably be pretty tough as well.
  15. Where's the guestbook? What about the MIDI player? I don't see a hit counter or dancing 7up Spot. At least put up the Under Construction clip art. Signed, ~xx_CaLi_AnGeL_xx69420
  16. Private lenders may avoid certain disciplines that have a lower rate of repayment. The schools should be the lender for the low return courses.
  17. ...I'm talking about a,charge specifically for being an "antifa member"
  18. I saw this topic and I thought: "Wow! uncle bernard or Red Herring have finally developed some shred of normalcy and gratitude." Nope. One of our more sensible posters.
  19. “Oregon will spend more in its current budget period on free health care for immigrants regardless of legal status than on state police by $500 million or more, according to state officials and budget documents.” https://dailycallernewsfoundation.org/2025/10/13/oregon-now-spends-more-on-program-offering-free-health-care-for-illegal-immigrants-than-state-police/
  20. I like the way it looks, but I generally prefer the Internet of 15 years ago to today's.
  21. So, the students who have been grown adults since they turned 18. Why did they decide to go to college for 4 years or more and rack 40 to 100 thousand dollars in debt? Wasn't supposed to help them get better paying jobs? They decided on the degree they wanted to get. Right. What is preventing from going out and getting a good job in their field of study. Then they could get a car, a cell phone, a place to stay, food and they could start paying off their student loan. You agree they are smart, hard workers, well educated and highly motivated. Shouldn't they be able to knock down 70K,80K or 120K a year. Why not. They are smart and they have a degree. Just a question. Is there something either physically or mentally wrong with them that can't work? Maybe they are unable manage their money. Maybe they should have taken a personal finance class while in high school and a class on basic economics. wouldn't have hurt.
  22. There the left goes again. They don’t care about the crime ridden black and brown neighborhoods they pretend to care about. How dare bad Trump man try to clean up their mess right? #fascistmuch
  23. I get your point. But they'll still have Minto, McDanel, Araujo, and Ayoub. Plus, I think their track record of developing guys in proven. Who (besides the wrestling nerds that are deep in the weeds), had ever heard of Silas Allred, Christopher Minto (who was 6th at NHSCA Nationals as a senior), and Caleb Smith (yes I know he had some success at App State, but Nebraska put him on the podium 2x. I think that staff will be fine.
