Be serious. It would have a new date and not be retroactive. This could be a big win to reduce anchor babies.

Public Funding for Infrastructure: Illinois taxpayers are contributing nearly $200 million for infrastructure improvements related to the center. This includes $174 million for roadwork in and around Jackson Park and $50 million for renovations to the Garfield Green Line station, with half of the station's renovation costs covered by a federal grant Federal Reimbursements: A significant portion of the state's expenditure on these infrastructure projects is expected to be reimbursed by the federal government. Reports indicate that at least $139 million—about 80% of the public funding—will likely be covered by federal funds.

In fact, in an email to FactCheck.org, James Pritchett, the director of public and media communications at the National Archives and Records Administration, confirmed that the Obama Presidential Center will be a “private entity” and “will not receive any funding from the National Archives.” NARA operates the other presidential libraries, but it will not operate the Obama library

Brooks story: True or False?

Completely forgot about this, I was just laughing out loud to how crazy that sounds... -
Pretty clear he'll push the envelope as far as possible. If he could get away w deporting anybody he wanted, he'd do that too. Just for burning a flag or protesting against him.
-
No. The right to remove a fetus from life support.

When will the wrestling community admit there's a problem?
Hammerlock3 replied to Tripnsweep's topic in College Wrestling
If this is a useful topic, not uselessly pretending an insanely general problem is specific to wrestling, let me know the general practice most of us support which is enabling this behavior and has to be changed. -
ahhh, its just a random guy saying he's gonna beat me up....

You’re still talking entitlements.

Lock Haven it is! Not even tongue in cheek... their success with Marsteller is nothing short if spectacular.

A pretty important guy said “in fact it was the same date, the exact same date the end of the civil war, it was meant for the babies of slaves, so clean and so obvious” …is it your contention that the word “only” is not implied there? But if we’re going to be that literal here, then you might want to take a look at the word “all” in the actual amendment…
-
You put it in quotes so who said it? Yes it applied to others after civil war believe including kids of those fighting in the war.

if you became a citizen later then birthright citizenship doesn't apply...
-
how could birthright citizenship apply somehow to someone who wasn't wait for it BORN IN THIS COUNTRY?

A poster here claims he was kicked off the team and that he’d be surprised if anyone else picked him up, but never gave specifics about what happened

Brooks story: True or False?
Mr. PeanutButter replied to Interviewed_at_Weehawken's topic in International Wrestling
Many athletes have spoken about their faith, taking advantage of a post match win interview (such as after the NCAA finals) to profess their belief and yet, to my memory, none of them have elicited anything near the type of reaction that Brooks has. Jason Nolf, David Carr, Stephen Buchanan, Alex Marinelli are just the few wrestlers that come to mind who where very vocal about their faith in Christ. Some of these wrestlers have their fair share of detractors but I have yet to see anybody criticize them for their religion (other than Marinelli, who is ragged on for everything, including the audacity to have a wife, apparently). Carr seems to be a universal favorite in fact. The only thing I have seen negative about him are jokes about his boogers. What Brooks did was obnoxious, pompous, "you-are-wrong" preaching. He could have been Muslim, buddhist, rastafarian, hell, he could have been preaching about veganism and it still would have come off as obnoxious due to the tenor and intensity of the message. If anything, if he were Muslim the reaction would have been far more heated. you also have the interview where he said his underhook "was from the holy Spirit" and therefore superior to Yazdani's who only got his from "some coach". Not only is that obnoxious, I would say that ventures on the edge of delusion. Then there's the Basch interview following Olympic trials which has been brought up a few times. Dissing on your teammate is one thing (note that this was the eggsact thing Bartlett was dumped on by PSU fans when he made his first and only message board post) but then to claim DT isn't faithful enough in the same breath as comparing yourself to Jesus was just a wild ride of delusion. Finally, have you seen his YouTube channel? I haven't watched nearly every video because they are literally painful to get through but the parts that aren't legitimately unhinged are so aggressive in their "you are lacking" (therefore I know the way) messaging it makes a man wince. You mesh these things together, along with a few other interviews I've seen over the years, and you get the portrait of a generally unlikeable person who loves preaching and telling people about all the ways they are lacking (implying he is better) while breaking rules repeatedly. In all the videos I've seen of Brooks, he does not come across as a guy that is fun to be around. That's why I called him an asshole and that's the crux of this discussion. To try and twist this into something political is smooth brained and pu$$y sh!t Now to be fair, I thought Brooks came off as very personable in this interview and I felt true sympathy when he talked about his struggles this past year. I can no longer say that Brooks comes off as an obnoxious asshole in every video I've seen of him. Perhaps he's turning a corner -
Lol that seems awfully nitpicky. Or does that mean you think it should apply to anyone then?

I've given up on expectations of rational behavior from the current vehicle house occupant and his minions. I'd have a mountain of paperwork to fill out and some explaining to do though.

I mean I see zero chance they try to make it retroactive other than the February date in the EO, but I guess you never know
