    Wishing him the best in life and, if he decides to continue, in the sport. Selfishly hope to see him (near) his best and at 65kg soon but agree that the most important thing is to prioritize long term health. I absolutely hate it when injuries hamper or end careers

    More information about "Stanford Picks Up Two Class of 2027 Big Boarders"
    Monday night/Tuesday morning was huge for Stanford recruiting. The Cardinal staff received, not one, but two verbal commitments from Big Boarders in the Class of 2027. Pennsylvania natives #35 Greyson Music (Bishop McDevitt, PA) and #116 Kai Vielma (Connellsville, PA) both committed to Chris Ayres’ squad. Music is a two-time Pennsylvania AA state medalist, finishing third in 2025 at 127 lbs and he made the 121 lb finals as a freshman. Over the summer, Music placed third in Fargo’s U16 freestyle tournament, up at 144 lbs. After the 2023-24 season, Music was a finalist at NHSCA Freshman Nationals. He’s currently ranked 13th in the nation at 138 lbs by MatScouts. Vielma was third at Pennsylvania’s AAA classification in 2025, after not placing as a freshman. His state medal came in the 139-pound weight class. Like Music, Vielma was also an NHSCA Freshman National runner-up in 2024. Both Music and Vielma were a part of a loaded group visiting Palo Alto over the weekend. In addition to these two, #7 Mario Carini (Poway, CA), #30 Jimmy Mastny (Marian Central, IL), and #96 Wyatt Hanssen (Wasatch, UT), took a trip to Stanford. Getting both signifies wins in the conference recruiting wars, as ACC schools were after both wrestlers. Before committing to Stanford, Music took visits to Bucknell, Pittsburgh, and West Virginia. Vielma toured Cornell, North Carolina, and West Virginia. Vielma’s commitment might be unexpected, as his older brother, Lonzy, is an incoming freshman at West Virginia. At the next level, both wrestlers are projected to compete in the 149/157 range. The 157 lb weight class will be open by the time the pair hits campus, as All-American Daniel Cardenas is heading into his junior year. There are plenty of young options available for the Stanford staff in the middleweights, but no clear-cut successors.     Last year's Faith team was stronger than last year's McCourt team, and they may be better than McCourt again this season. For the criteria of most D1: Last year's Faith team had 2025 Botero (Michigan) 2025 Stein (Penn) 2025 Hontz (Hofstra) 2026 Waters (OSU) 2026 Weidemoyer (Lehigh) 2026 Singer (Lehigh) 2026 M. Wagner (Little Rock) 2026 S. Wagner (Little Rock) 2026 Effendian (Princeton) AND 2027 J. Bachmann #2 Recruit in his class 2027 N. Singer, who is a top 30 recruit 2028 F. Bachmann #1 Recruit in his class That is 12 D1 guys with the potential for more if there is any late bloomers. On that note, the team from the year before had all of those guys but Freddy Bachmann (so 11) AND Cody Wagner (Little Rock) Arment Waltenbaugh (Air Force) Kole Davidheiser (Hofstra) plus Clayton Waltenbaugh who very well could be D1 and an unrostered due to weird transfer situation Tyler DeKraker who is a Minnesota committ. That is 14-16 D1 guys at one HS

    That's what I voted for. In my opinion, anyone who is not happy with this result has some serious issues that they need to resolve. Anytime foreign gang bangers are arrested and taken off the streets is a good thing. I cannot see how anyone would think otherwise. mspart

    Regarding the SSNs, of course. But for the same reason you can post a chart showing how many were issued by year, the SSN administration also knows exactly which SSNs are citizen or non-citizen, and therefore eligible to vote or not. That's a non-issue. "but there is something to be credited for the personal agency of manual registration." Why? Doesn't showing up to vote show personal agency by itself? Why do we need an additional level of personal agency to be allowed to exercise our personal agency? Why stop at one additional level at that point? Maybe we should have to register to register to vote to vote? Or maybe we should have to register to register to register to vote to vote? Maybe the best way would be to register to register to register to register to vote to vote? It's completely arbitrary.

    Just got back from school (homeless shelter). Taught (helped) a homeless guy how to look for a job. I told him his self respect and determination can get him out of the hole he’s in. I said you live in the greatest country on the planet and only excuses hold you back here. He said he’ll give it a shot. Got him hooked up with a career specialist so we’ll see what happens. Helping a fellow citizen feels good.

    My take is that he doesn't want any momentum to having Duals decide the team championship as there are plenty who already want that change instead of the NCAA tournament. As to PSU's next coach, I think it really depends on what Casey Cunningham wants. I think Casey would be the choice with Cody Sanderson if it was Cael's choice.

    No, because I had already seen the picture of him in the Trump shirt. It was everywhere. I couldn't find a link showing the yard sign, which is why I asked you to post it so I could see. Be more like @Caveira. When I asked for more information, he provided it and it advanced the conversation. He didn't throw a hissy fit because I asked him to provide more information instead of taking his word as gospel. He acted like an adult who isn't afraid of debate.

    Smart money might be on tOSU longer-term. Their president will be pushing for disproportional media splits in the next B1G contract. Some of that cash windfall would have to trickle down to wrestling, right? Right?

    They can't be that far off. Last year they were 2nd at PIAA AA States and had the second most team points ever with 4 champs (tied for the most ever) and 9 medalists (3rd best ever). Unfortunately they didn't win the tournament. Faith Christian had 4 champions and 10 medalists which both represent the team record. Five McCort wrestlers on last years team have committed to wrestle D1; Magro (2025 Rutgers), Butler (2026 Cal Baptist), Forrest (2026 OSU), Sam Herring (2026 PSU), and Rodriguez (2026 Pitt). Another five (Bo Bassett (2026), Keegan Bassett (2028), Eli Herring (2028), Miller (2027), and O'Farrill (2028)) are highly likely to wrestle D1. That would make 10 D1 wrestlers on the roster. Only one of Silfies, Carfley, or Pensiero would need to go D1 to match Davison.

    Every qualified citizen should automatically have the chance to vote, but there is something to be credited for the personal agency of manual registration. Though I'd say registration at vote time is fine! Just having an SSN isn’t enough to verify eligibility for registration... Just look at the chart for the count of SSNs issued to non-citizens through the Enumeration Beyond Entry program. There should be high-quality, real-time verification across the federal and state level (one vote, living SSN, documents match, ...).
