PSU forum mentioned that Erik Gibson recently came out as gay. Was not aware of that, definitely takes guts to do that. They speculate that that may have been what some of the alleged comments from Starocci could have been about. But they note Gibson still has a good relationship with PSU in general and is not transferring.

PSU will very likely be in a position that they could ORS 70% or more of their starting lineup - particularly with scholarship/roster cap changes.

World Athletics (T&F governing body) does allow DSD women this opportunity. Semenya argues that HRT has too many side effects (psychological and physical), hasn't been proven safe for DSD women, and finally, that she should be able to compete as she was born. Although I still support the WA policy (at least tentatively), it's worth noting that DSD women have female genitalia, are raised as female, and unless they happen to show world class running ability, may never even know they're biologically different. They can't have children, and might learn about their condition as a result, but I suspect very few East African villagers seek western medical treatment because they can't conceive (I'm pretty sure DSD has never been documented outside of Kenya, Namibia and Botswana). So the idea that DSD athletes are either pretending to be women, or cheating in some fashion is absurd.

The sad thing is this is true and happening alot with the elite guys especially. Start late in K. Then hold back in 6th or 8th grade. Go to Prep school and possibly take a PG year. 21 when you graduate high school. Why are we allowing this? Then the media says how great they are for winning senior level events in high school. Don't get me wrong winning senior level anything at any age is amazing. But stop saying how amazing it is for a high schooler to do it. How old is that kid? I was sitting in the stands and I over heard alot of people saying how are these high schoolers doing this? I wanted to turn around and say cause their daddy made them go 15 years of school before college. But I bit my tongue.

One guy skipped his first year of 8th grade (to take it again next year) to play video games…. So he could grow in the sport. I think that behavior is behind nonsense. It’s certainly not cheating….
