  3. Keith Gavin never won a HS state title yet won the Hodge.
  4. Ebrahim Elahi vs Aria Yoshida. Starting at 58:00. https://telewebion.com/episode/0x13b34058
  5. But I have to admit... my first BIG concert was on the Bicentennial July 4th 1976! I was stationed at NAS Millington for training (USMC, Airwing)... and a bunch of my Marine buds went over to Memphis State football stadium to see an all day into the evening concert that started w/ The Outlaws (Green Grass & High Tides... remember that jam?), Blue Oyster Cult (THEY were awesome!) Lynyrd Skynyrd w/ the original members prior to the crash... OH yeah! And finishing it ALL off was ZZ Top as the headliner act. Pretty much 2+/ 3+ hour sets w/ stage changing in between. We walked out before midnite when it was all done... got our monies worth! Ahhhh... that's not too shabby, eh? D3
  6. It's been quite awhile since I went to a big name concert... apparently one needs to take out a loan EVEN TO GET YOUR TUSHIE INTO THE "cheap seats." Recently, I went w/ my two younger brothers and sister-in-law to see The Machine @ the Newton Theater in NJ (American Pink Floyd Tribute band.) last month. Pretty awesome... though we were all in agreement that they could've lower the bass mixing a bit. (I swear, some of the crowd, w/ sparse hair on top of their heads had their hair strands waving up & down w/ the beat !) But, of course, nothing beats the original... as I saw Pink Floyd at the LI Coliseum for The Wall Tour. THAT was REALLY Awesome! D3
  7. Uh... hmmmm. Something like... D3
  8. Today
  9. Gosh... apologies to you, Antitroll! Completely bypassed your corrections to OMW by accident. (No harm, no foul... but, I must add a correction as Chris' last name is AYRES vs Ayers. But, of course, folks have been tripped up over his last name repeatedly. We live & learn.) D3
  10. I do, but from the other side. My pet theory is Iowa sort of manufactured problems with Bassett as well as Gabe Arnold so they could cancel their contracts.
  11. Cale Anderson removed from the portal, back on the Wisconsin roster, up at 174 lbs
  12. read up on what’s involved with lung transplant surgery - and now this young man is speaking to the world after what he went through. Truly an inspiration to the wrestling community and humanity everywhere. Im thankful for the forum members here posting these timely updates. You care, we do to. Thank you.
  13. Hey American friends, if you're up for a truly unique experience, I recommend checking out Mohsen Namjoo in concert. I think his upcoming shows are in LA, Ottawa, and Chicago. You can get a taste of one of his live performances here: https://inv.nadeko.net/3ZYn2JASnis?t=17
  14. Meh, guys from both Penn State and Iowa have been accused of doing those things (well maybe not the same person being accused of both) just in the past year!
  15. He got fairly specific in talking about donors buying an apartment, I’d imagine he has a decent source for that. So, can anyone confirm if getting an apartment satisfies the 250 mile requirement if your parents don’t change their residence? The requirements listed by USA wrestling are pretty short and vague: https://assets.contentstack.io/v3/assets/blteb7d012fc7ebef7f/blt06815c1d8208fb85/67c62f305108fbfbf835ff0c/Regional_Training_Center_Criteria.pdf
  16. I'm not saying Nickal doesn't have an agenda, but the rumors about OKST RTC doing some murky stuff have been circulating for awhile.
  17. That’s fair. I’ll clarify that the only ticket that was triple figures was Stick Figure/Stephen Marley/Hip Abduction. And they were pretty good seats.
  18. And I am sure Bo Nickal is 100% in the know on today's compliance structure/rules as well as the CRTC comings and goings.
  19. June 15th was New Year’s Day for those college coaches recruiting the Class of 2027 and the student-athletes waiting to plan out their futures. The 15th was the first day that collegiate coaches could officially contact rising juniors and there has been plenty of activity on the recruiting front. Since the 15th, some of the nation’s top prospects have released lists of their top schools. Rather than trying to dig through social media or click through a bunch of state sites, we have compiled this list of these top recruits and their potential future homes. Remember recruiting is a fluid process, so another school, currently unlisted, could jump into the picture for a recruit. Conversely, the recruits could trim their list at any time. This is a feature that will be revisited as needed throughout the recruitment process. #1 Melvin Miller (Bishop McCort, PA) - Arizona State, Michigan, Missouri, NC State, Nebraska, Oklahoma State, Penn State, Pittsburgh, #3 Sonny Amato (Rumson-Fair Haven, NJ) - Arizona State, Cornell, Iowa, Iowa State, Nebraska, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Penn, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Virginia Tech #4 Landon Sidun (Norwin, Pennsylvania) - Buffalo, Cornell, Iowa, Minnesota, NC State, Nebraska, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Virginia Tech, West Virginia #10 Dean Anderson (Valiant Prep, AZ) - Arizona State, Minnesota, Missouri, NC State, Nebraska, Northern Iowa, Penn State #14 Max Konopka (Simsbury, CT) - Cornell, Lehigh, NC State, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Penn State, Princeton, Rutgers, Stanford, Virginia Tech, Wisconsin #15 Hayden Schwab (Don Bosco, IA) - Cornell, Iowa, Nebraska, Northern Iowa, Oklahoma State, Stanford, Virginia Tech #17 Arseni Kikiniou (Poway, CA) - Arizona State, Cal Poly, Cornell, Harvard, Illinois, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Carolina, Purdue, Stanford, Virginia Tech #30 Jimmy Mastny (Marian Central, IL) - Air Force, Arizona State, Army, Cornell, George Mason, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Iowa State, Little Rock, Michigan, NC State, Nebraska, North Carolina, Northern Iowa, Ohio State, Oklahoma State, Oregon State, Penn, Purdue, Princeton, SIU Edwardsville, Stanford, Virginia Tech, Wisconsin #38 Dawson Youngblut (Don Bosco, IA) - Cornell, Iowa, Iowa State, NC State, Nebraska, Northern Iowa #39 Gage Lohr (Watertown, SD) - Cornell, Indiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Dakota State, Wisconsin, Wyoming #41 Dale Corbin (Wyoming Seminary, PA) - Army West Point, Cornell, Lehigh, Maryland, Minnesota, NC State, North Carolina, Northwestern, Oklahoma, Rutgers, Utah Valley, Virginia Tech, Wisconsin #52 Luke Hayden (Hickman, MO) - Air Force, Cornell, Missouri, North Dakota State, Northern Iowa, Northwestern, Oregon State, Princeton, Purdue, South Dakota State, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Wisconsin #107 Caleb Tyler (Delone Catholic, PA) - Clarion, Duke, Franklin & Marshall, Virginia, Wisconsin
  20. Like Homer Simpson, who invented a meal between breakfast and brunch, I am an innovator.
  21. What whole number comes between 1 and 2?
  22. I honestly do believe Bassett’s decommittment wasn’t about money. It seems like it was more about simply not letting him train at the RTC. Especially since I’m sure slumlord Bob would have gladly given him an apartment he had sitting empty so it wouldn’t have cost him anything. Although maybe Iowa wasn’t too upset after he decommitted because of how much he was going to get paid.
  23. Ex: I bet Forrest still gets a new truck just like Fix did. Recruits are still going to have nice off-campus housing provided to them. Starters will have no-show jobs to provide a paycheck that legally skirts NIL rules. Things will be more contained, but there will still be functions of the wild, wild west.
  24. What many are failing to grasp is that there are NIL deals and there are business deals. Business deals are the new bag man - operating in shadows slightly less behind the scenes, the only difference is that 2025's bag man doesn't have to hide cash from the IRS. Business deals are currently less prevalent, but with Deloitte trying to create a de facto salary cap (which is a good thing in theory [and theory only]) then these business deals will grow in volume. It will simply be a more legal but just as murky recruiting environment, with the difference being that transfers can now also enjoy the spoils that previously required a 4-5 year commitment out of high school.
  25. And another thing.... Its pinfall. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
