Did Iowa fans enjoy Mocco versus Mirasola?
scourge165 replied to Jimmy Cinnabon's topic in College Wrestling
May he not grow up to be a @Jimmy Cinnabonor @Spencerlee!!! Or a 165LB Wrestler as Penn State still appears to have a logjam that may not clear out by the time he's around. More importantly, where are Miller, James and Duke going to College? So if a Soph gets a TD on a Sr in HS who had 5 techs and lost a single match 5-5 at the World Championships last year, is that really the flex Iowa fans seem to think it is? -

Did Iowa fans enjoy Mocco versus Mirasola?
scourge165 replied to Jimmy Cinnabon's topic in College Wrestling
This was a bit unreasonably angry.... The...audacity of him to say he looks more like a 97 pounder! Also...not for nothing, but Mirasola isn't really a natural HWT either. He's more of a natural '97 but so is his Brother and his Brother is a little bit better...or maybe just has had more success due to not having to be the one who goes up a weight. - Today

Bro… are you you kidding me right now? Bush and Trump did, too. And, unlike Trump, Obama actually went through the FISA courts. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Dean Hamiti and Wyatt Hendrickson defeated 2 NCAA champs
scourge165 replied to Boring's topic in College Wrestling
Well...79KG would probably be an even better weight for him, but... we only have space for 6 Olympic weight classes because we have to have flip cup and and...wheelbarrow racing in the Olympics. -
...because Zahid scored more points.
wrestle87 replied to Winners Circle's topic in International Wrestling
I just watched this match on youtube for the first time. First, the grounded on your knees—>no pushout point rule needs to be fixed. That sh1t is so stupid, zahid quit and wrestled from his knees for 3 minutes. With that said, he outclassed Dake, or he exposed dake’s very poor defensive decision making. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but Dake seems to be regressing in his decision-making(aging backwards and losing his technique?) Dake has zero downblock//sprawl leg defense apparently, his only short offense is a chest wrap, and it is entirely dependent on him being the longer wrestler, because no shorter wrestler has ever won in a chest wrap situation, the leverage doesn’t work. I’m kind of astonished at his lack of adoption of far ankle etc considering how long he’s been in the penn state room. It’s turning out to be such a limitation for him. Far ankle is how david beat zahid last trials, and that is wide open on someone who does the “dive, sit on knees and do nothing” gassed out strategy that zahid employs. Also, frame matters. Did you see Zahid just bowl dake over his own head in that traparm? This is why weight class matters so much. -
So, just to make sure I’m following you: Killing terrorists bad Sending someone to life in prison based on a criminal informant saying you’re in a gang good ?

He was just a nice kid visiting family and other friends. He was going to be good in skool and everything.

really ? WASHINGTON – The Obama administration today argued before a federal court that it should have unreviewable authority to kill Americans the executive branch has unilaterally determined to pose a threat. https://www.aclu.org/press-releases/obama-administration-claims-unchecked-authority-kill-americans-outside-combat-zones

Florida (Fort Myers) Everblades get a sweep over Jacksonville in the first round of the ECHL playoffs (with four overtime games amazingly enough) and the Panthers take out Tampa 4 games to 1. Round 2 for defending champs Blades starts Friday. Defending champs Panthers await their next opponent. South Florida hockey on fire!

My main issue with Abrego Garcia hasn’t been the alleged lack of due process, it’s moreso about defying the Supreme Court. Here’s a good comment I read somewhere else: I’ll tell you this much, if a court had ordered Obama’s Pentagon to *not kill Alawki & the military did it anyway, followed by repeated cute lies about status, it would have (rightly) led to calls for impeachment Also, probably worth noting that his family did sue afterwards, and the case was dismissed and not appealed: https://ccrjustice.org/sites/default/files/assets/2014-04-04_Al-Aulaqiv.Panetta_OpinionDismissingCase.pdf

Sounds like your cool with Obama killing us citizens while being on vacation and saying mean things about America. Before you answer @Le duke think about this. Obama actually killed us citizens (plural) without due process. You’re threatening hypothetical democrat retaliatory actions. Trump has not done this. Think about that level of your crazy. cool.
-
Not sure why you’re defensive. I didn’t make any assumptions or proclamations as to why they took the action. Many here are, and I just said they stated precisely why that took that action. It’s not at all an extraordinary action for then to take.
-
Is this hypothetical an Iranian citizen?
-
So it sounds like you’re OK with being sent to an Iranian prison without a trial, and spending the rest of your life there. Cool. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

ahh ... we did that last 4 years.
-
May I remind you. The d administration (Obama) killed Americans he didn’t agree with. Without due process. He also deported far more illegals than… Trump. I bet you would vote for Obama again if you could.

Among AWA kids it is. Those kids don't have "a style." I think that probably speaks to the level of coaching they get. Sinclair is slick and hits his shots or drags so smoothly. Mirasola's are physical and great and better at handfighting, Mesenbrink relentlessly attacks, Keckeisen is a...Jake Varner type Wrestler, he's sorta a mix. O'Toole was like Sinclair, but probably better in scrambles. They've all got different styles. Yes, that was the first name that came to mind. But also Terry and Troy Steiner. They used to have insane workouts(or stories about them) that I've heard about where they would spend literally 5-6 hours rotating Bike/treadmill and just training like that. When Dan Gable says "I've never seen anyone work harder or be in better shape," that's... telling. I may be articulating this poorly because in my mind, I'm just talking about the ability to maintain that pace. I'd also throw in another Mesenbrink trained kid, Jake Sueflohn in there. He had an incredible gas tank and came out and just kept firing off attacks all 7 minutes.
-
Except this one was illegal. Are you supposing the Ds are so nasty they would do this to their political opponents or general Americans? should we not deport illegals for fear of the other political party deporting Americans? Maybe we should just open the boarder keep it open and let everyone in until it’s so financially unsustainable that the country goes bust?

He was a US citizen, the Salvadorian not and we didn't kill him.
-
ahh ... you are probably looking for the football forum ... this is wrestling.
-
We had evidence that guy was an actual terrorist, and not just because of some tattoos.
-
Agree on #1, well “we” being the Trump admin. Unfortunately that is in defiance of the Supreme Court, who does “want” (read: but not “requiring”) him back. #2 is nonsense. If “we” did want him back, El Salvador would give him back. Trump said as much in the ABC interview.
-
I'm absolutely not saying he doesn't have natural traits or athletic ability that make him special. He's got a kinda herky jerky style and his mis-direction is incredible. But just the pace he Wrestles...I do believe that is something anyone CAN do. It doesn't mean you'll be able to beat him, it takes insane dedication(I'd imagine), a gas tank plugged straight into the Alaskan pipeline and the desire to do it and even then you see Dean Hamiti who I think Wrestled at...a somewhat similar pace, but just that one aspect, I think you can get there through work. I don't know how many people are willing to put in that work and also have that competitiveness. What it really amounts to though is Mesenbrink will Wrestle a full 7 minute match like a guy who is down 2 points with 30 seconds left in the NCAA Finals. And again, I think we've seen guys who have done something similar in a couple older Iowa guys.
