Instances of a college coach's kids wrestling for another program?
Truzzcat replied to BruceyB's topic in College Wrestling
Closest thing I can think of is Mark Perry wrestling for Iowa. -
If the kid gets to attend a premier university and be part of a top program I’m sure several of them know what they are getting out of that decision. And I mean the fact the tuitions likely covered by the school since dads a school employee may helps the decision a little. One less scholarship to worry about and you usually get a solid kid in the room. If you get a Blue Chip kid that’s equal to or well above their dad’s room skill level I’d say that’s a more likely scenario to get out recruited.
-
I am not sure how they make the decision on which students go to the prep schools - I would be surprised if athletic considerations are major factors - I would guess that some of it depends on how many slots are open for the incoming class - if anyone out there has any informed insights on this I would love to here them.
-
But I would say that almost always for students who still need some academic requirements filled before entering their service academy academic track rather than to just to get the kid an extra year to mature/lineup time.

Speaking of putting the phone down. Isn’t it sat night and you’re supposed be out being Mr perfect on top of the fence?
-
The service academies do not have redshirts - Once you start with your class as a plebe it is expected that you are going to graduate with that class. The academies do have prep schools associated with them that they have some recruits attend prior to starting in the academy. That can serve a similar purpose as a redshirt but the student has not started matriculating at the school yet.

Epitome of not reading and just running with the click bait. Not one mention of Newsom in the article. One Dr from one county “advocates” wearing N-95. Put the phone down dude. Geez -

Just like Paul Bunyan. There is nothing about him during the time he supposedly lived. Myths & stories, maybe based on some religious types during the time. Even the Four Gospels read like "we read the first one and are adding to it" - the stories don't add up. Nope, don't have it all figured out, just know it does not make sense. Mormons with Joe Smith killed in a gunfight after "marrying" 15 year olds, wives of his "Apostles" and mother-daughter combinations & shilling for money as a convicted con man? Why not make fun of them? White supremacist cult that has major problems with Child Abuse/child sexual abuse. Then we have so many other "religions" that, if examined - are as bad or worse. Not an athiest, more an agnostic who does not believe the myths and will gladly piss on BYU - who quit on Wrestling, dumping the Athletic Director at the time because he was not tall enough and a wrestler - at the same time they dumped mens gymnastic program. Girls in leotards and sports obsessed with balls - even their major Church Headquarter building is a big, tall WHITE shaft with two balls at the bottom. -

You may be right but why would Mike Johnson risk his career over this? -

FBI informant helped with Epstein investigation
Tripnsweep replied to El Luchador's topic in Non Wrestling Topics
I don't know anyone who seriously believes this. They're so desperate to not look stupid or be proven wrong they're willing to believe this fantasy about a guy who has openly bragged about sexually assaulting women, and was found responsible for having done it, was really all along just an FBI informant who was really doing and saying those things to ingratiate himself with a well known sex trafficker. Who he also happened to be good friends with. This is why the right doesn't want critical thinking in schools anymore. -
I do push-ups to that.
-
I got curious thinking about Doug Schwab's boys and the recruiting process. Are there (I'm sure there are) any instances of a college coaches children going on to wrestle for another program? It seems far more common for them to wrestle where their dad coaches, even if that means struggling to ever make the starting line-up (Jake Ryan, Sam Smith, Hayden Cunningham, etc.).

Should start putting local officials who let illegals out and don’t follow federal law in federal prison. How many times should an illegal get arrested before deportation? I mean they are not even prosecuting locally. Just letting them go. It would be one thing if they prosecuted locally but they’re not doing that either
