  1. Past hour
  2. Did you watch the documentary?
  3. I'm not defending anything. If it happened, so be it, and people will get paid. What I do know is there are numerous people who have claimed to have been abused that were not because they want to get paid. And the guy who started this whole thing had a fund raiser for a dead Buckeye wrestler's family and reportedly stole the money. He was a Marine who died in Iraq.
  4. Hmmm - probably. I liked some posts about the NC cop who bitch-slapped him around. Maybe I can send him some MAGA merch to get back in.
  5. Not really moved by your opinion of my post. Sorry. The bottom line is that people are claiming to have been abused for the payday. Could their be a few real victims? Probably, but there sure isn't hundreds. And outside of wrestling, nobody would care about OSU wrestling if it didn't involve Jim Jordan. It is purely political theater. I'm not defending Hellickson, but he didn't employ Strauss, the Ohio State did. His and Jordan's name have been dragged through the mud but they aren't the bad guys in this story.
  6. Oh yes I saw che posting clips of him on twitter he seems super skilled. He looked like a kid still though so I wonder how he fairs physicality wise. 70kg looks super fun if all the guys on your article end up going intersting if Kaprynov of Eltemirov can break through. I always root for ganishov at 74kg as well because it gives Keegan transitive wins from 2023 u23's.
  7. So what? Pat Mineo - if you're reading this please block me.
  8. I don't feel confident picking anyone at 57 - but the safe picks are Pavlov, Chebodaev, and Mutaliev. Magomed-Salyakh Ozdamirov is another guy to watch at 57 - he won U20 Russian Nationals and looks ready to challenge guys at the senior level.
  9. I'd pop bottles and start celebrating, personally. This recent round of Bassett glazing has reminded me how much sports fandoms can suck.
  10. ^^^ this ^^^
  11. Or made fun of Ferrari?
  12. Is mehkitkhanov your pick with Mongush not competing? Yavbatirov Is very good I am intersted to see how he does.
  13. This may be another reason for the masks. Apparently some of them aren’t actually employees, they’re contractors
  14. Iowa fans = one guy (Chael Sonnen)? Okay then. Don't think I've seen anyone else saying that.
  15. Did you like a post that made fun of him?
  16. Why would you want to?
  17. If it's just a networking group, then the organizer doesn't need business experience. Just needs to be a connector to facilitate other business people into interacting with each other.
  18. Guys - I don't know why. I don't even interact with him on twitter. Anyone know how to appeal this decision?
  19. Most don't like Bo, or Bob? The statement is technically true either way as the general public of over eight billion people don't even know who either of them are. Since they do not know him/them they cannot like him/them. That said, I don't think most people who are aware of Bo dislike him. Most people who are aware of Bob do dislike him.
  20. Overall, Muslim perpetrators are responsible for more terrorist attacks and fatalities globally, but Catholic extremists are extremely rare and account for a negligible share. Here’s a detailed breakdown: Global Perspective In a comprehensive dataset of 151,583 terrorist events (global, up to 2021), groups identified as Muslim-affiliated(i.e., Islamist) were responsible for 51% of attacks and 69% of deaths From 1979 to 2021, at least 48,000 Islamist terrorist attacks occurred worldwide—mainly in Muslim-majority countries—resulting in over 210,000 fatalities Catholic-driven terrorism (or Christian extremist attacks) make up only a minuscule fraction of these global numbers—no comparative statistics exist, and no large-scale Catholic extremist group operates comparably to Islamist or secular factions.
  21. I'd be shocked if they gave one to Mongush. They usually only give wrestle-offs to the exceptional - Sidakov, Sadulaev, Uguev. Pavlov did beat Mongush at last year's Russian Nationals and the two had a close match at the Yarygin this year (it was 7-5). But I agree that Mongush has been better internationally.
  22. Your first link specifically says: "Even though this study demonstrates BIPOC athletes are involved with NIL deals at higher rates than white athletes, it is unclear if that means they are having the same level of “success.”" Another damning point about this study is it does not come close to representing where the NIL $s are spent. While there are some basketball players (7% - 8th most by sport) and a handful of football players (2.1% - 16th most), it basically ignores where the money is actually spent. Finally, it is a study of expectations rather than actual deals.
