  2. I would imagine there will be quite a journey for Sasso before he winds up anywhere near Lehigh...
  3. It’s been a while since we have given any portal updates and with some movement on the head coaching front, it seemed like the appropriate time for another. With Scotti Sentes leaving Campbell, it re-opened the portal for Camel wrestlers looking to transfer. Two notable Campbell wrestlers are on the move and are headed north to the University of Virginia. NCAA qualifiers Wynton Denkins and Dom Baker have recently announced that they are moving on to Virginia. Both could end up starting immediately for the Cavaliers, Denkins at 149 lbs and Baker at 174 lbs (though Baker does have a redshirt available). We also had to remove a prominent name from the transfer list as 2025 All-American Sammy Alvarez is not headed to Iowa. Looking at his career, it was difficult to interpret how he would have another year of eligibility. Another name we’ve removed is Cody Chittum. Initially, Chittum indicated that he would transfer to Ohio State from Iowa State. Later this offseason, there were rumors that he would head back to his home state to wrestle for Chattanooga. The Mocs athletic department put out a release centered around their five transfers for this offseason and Chittum was not among that list. We’ll re-add him once there’s more concrete information regarding his landing spot. We’ve also added a handful of transfers for Kent State. Coach Josh Moore had brought a handful of wrestlers from his last stop at Cleveland State University. Remember, there are still avenues for a wrestler to enter the transfer portal at this time. Any additional entries will be tied to a coaching change or perhaps from a graduate student. The first list of wrestlers we’ve listed have already publicly committed to a new transfer destination. That new school is listed first, along with their projected weight, followed by their former school. Below them are notable wrestlers that have gone into the transfer portal. It is not a comprehensive list. 4. You shan’t be able to go after someone who was pre-pardoned boss. I’m sure he didn’t do anything illegal though.
  5. That is wild.
  6. i agree with Bruce. everyone knows the lead wrestler is stalling. just tell the refs to start calling stall calls at the end of matches and if it decides the result of some matches then so be it. the lead wrestler should have engaged more not backed up to the circle. maybe they will stop stalling/disengaging if they know the refs actually WILL penalize them. you don't have to back up to the edge of the circle. you can do other things to waste time that are not considered "not engaging". there's gamesmanship and then there's just running away.
  7. Maybe one of his family members was misled?
  8. I'm hoping that he puts this issue behind him and ultimately does become a coach at Lehigh. It may take some time though.
  9. Yup its pathetic that they go after his family when they were never even part of his administration. Low class.
  10. So Ben really did promote a scam coin that was quickly rug pulled? I know he needs money, but he’s about the last guy I would have expected to do that. Seems odd. https://www.mmamania.com/2025/7/25/24474221/notorious-celebrity-cryptocoin-creator-was-behind-ben-askren-funky-rug-pull?utm_campaign=dhtwitter&utm_content=<media_url>&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter
  11. Damn was really looking forward to having him on the Lehigh staff
  12. It seems to focus on scholarship counts. Not sure if that would apply to cutting teams completely
  13. I predict lawsuits.
  14. Today
  15. BB...so what you are recommending is to....smart stall. Stalling is ok now, eh? I would add to work "smartly" towards the edge, in case: 1) something goes wrong...discreetly get out of bounds, and 2) if my back is to the edge, circle in and take a 1/2 shot to make him go out...keeps the refs very happy. Perhaps it's semantics, but with a minute left and 1pt lead, I'm shutting it down, I'm done wrestling. You are essentially doing the same thing except you call it "don't stop wrestling." I'll give you a B+ for the stall strategy. 3pt. TD was a mistake imo. puts more emphasis on TD's and diminishes mat wrestling...headed towards freestyle, but that's another discussion. thanks for the tip, perhaps I'll figure out how to use it someday. I'm not a new poster. been on here many years. I just post infrequently and only when something piques my interest. And you were criticizing the referees for not calling what you think they should be calling.
  16. I think it was more of the injury limiting training or making him skeptical about training. He was posting him doing training lab stuff leading in but I wonder if they were not letting him wrestle when he got tired to try and avoid injury. I think you can do all the running/versa climber/bike in the world but if you arent blowing your lungs out wrestling I just don't think you can be in peak wrestling shape.
  17. Not even close. It did seem more gassed than anything. He was able to fire off some explosion, especially at the beginning of the first match, but couldn't maintain. Biggest thing I noticed were his hands were not nearly as active throughout as they usually are.
  18. My apologies. Didn’t see that one come up before I posted.
  19. He mentioned him. See below.
  20. Well, I forgot about Welsh (like an idiot) as well as Ryder over at OSU. Henckel (wow, we both messed that spelling up ), should be good at 86 KG as well.
  21. Don’t sleep on Max McEnelly at 86 too. I think he has a really high ceiling and a lot of potential for growth over the next few years.
  22. If Henckle medals at Junior worlds this year then I would say he is in the mix for 2028. There are 2-3 legit senior level guys at his weight. Ferrari and Mcnelly will probably still be 86's by then as well although I have not seen Angelo wrestle freestyle in like 4 years.
  23. I know Haines grew in to 174lbs well enough to contend at NCAAs, I don't know if he has the frame to go 86 KG. That said, I welcome being proven wrong. I don't know if Starocci will stick around for the cycle and there isn't anyone else that is going to go 86 KG for the NLWC (MAYBE Mirasola/Barr?)... Actually... Henkle (sp) will likely be there, as will Cunningham, but they won't be ready by then (??).
  24. I selfishly hope most of them go up. I want keegan at 74 if he can because I think he can win gold at his best but we are going to have someone that can medal at 74 no matter what. If zahid cant stay at this level for 2 more years we may be considerably weaker with depth at 86.
  25. Whatever it was, he wasn't 100%.
  26. Every one sees the multiple felony thing for what it is. Harping on it continuously only serves to remind everyone how corrupt the left is and how willing they are to do whatever it takes to control America.
