Congressional hearings for the firing of Colbert? Really?
Caveira replied to mspart's topic in Non Wrestling Topics
Censorship lol. As if sex books about male on male BJs belong in schools. That and drag queen parties. censorship is forcing Twitter and Facebook to take down posts that don’t agree with your political ideology to try to stay in power. Keeping smut out of third graders hands is called decency. -
U17 World Medalist Villasenor Commits to Oklahoma State
InterMat Staff posted an article in Recruiting
They had the #2 overall recruiting class in 2025. Their 2026 class is poised to be the best in the country. Now, Oklahoma State’s Class of 2027 is off and running with an excellent commitment leading the way. Ignacio Villasenor (Stillwater, OK) has given David Taylor’s team a verbal commitment. Villasenor is the #23 overall recruit in the Class of 2027 and currently ranked third in the nation at 120 lbs. Villasenor’s commitment shouldn’t be a huge surprise as he is originally from Colorado, but had moved to Stillwater earlier in his high school career. In 2023, Villasenor was a bronze medalist in freestyle at the U17 World Championships, while competing at 45 kg. This year, Villasenor was fourth at the UWW U17 Trials at 55 kg. Heading into his junior year of high school competition, Villasenor already has a pair of state championships under his belt. One in Colorado and another in Oklahoma. Other notable credentials for Villasenor include a pair of top-three finishes at the Walsh Ironman (2,3), and two placements at the Super 32 (5,6). Before the 2024-25 high school season, Villasenor participated in FloWrestling’s Who’s #1 event and downed Ohio State recruit Dom Munaretto 7-5 in the 113 lb bout. Villasenor was last in action in Fargo and was up at 126 lbs for Junior freestyle. He advanced to the Round of 12 and narrowly missed out on the podium. At the next level, Villasenor projects as 125/133 lber. Oklahoma State has a lot of young talent either in the room, or on the way, in that range, so we’ll see how that plays out. Villasenor is the third wrestler from the Class of 2027 to commit. For all of those commits : Click Here For all of Oklahoma State’s recruits from 2026 and 2027 : Click Here -
What is there to disagree on? One weight has a two world/olympic medalists, another world team member and then up and comers like Keckeisen, Starocci, Welsh, McEnally, Sinclair, etc. The other has three or four really solid young guys in Carr, Mesenbrink, O’Toole (assuming he’s back to form post injury) and Lockett. Seems like 86 is deeper with higher end talent right now.

I forgot to add things like early/higher education into my list but I suppose I could think of a new thing every few minutes and I would just end up in here all day listing the things being cancelled by the GOP -
Promises made promises.... well maybe not so much...

Bro.... come on... you know what cancel culture is because you all screamed about it when it happened when the shoe was on the other foot... Now the sides reverse and your response is seriously "how is it cancel culture?!?!?" And "define cancel culture!!!" You are the party of cancel culture and it's obvious and doesn't need explaining. -

Huh?? You just listed a bunch of things in regards to "cancel culture" with zero information on how they are related to "cancel culture". Also, please define "cancel culture". -

We are basically living in the MAGA cancel culture world right now... everything that offends maga = cancelled. Bud-lite Drag shows Books NPR NFL Electric Vehicles Renewable Energy Big tech until big tech helps them and then big tech again Colbert The list goes on and on... For a group that is all pro-free speech and yada yada they are more heavily into cancel culture than the dems were. The recent south park episode while on brand for South Park- the parent company really allowed them go hard to essentially provide cover to the narrative that they are doing Trumps bidding to get a multi-billion dollar merger approved which happened a week later. I find it very hard to believe the Late show was the big thing holding up the deal from happening on the balance sheet.... For those that don't know companies have "loss leaders" or products that they sell at a loss for consumer interest and to upstream them to more products with greater profit margins. This is not a new concept and Colbert was no different.. people watch Colbert or subscribe to the streaming service to see his show and then watch other shows. - Today

So, did each port cost $20,000,000 dollars (20 MILLION!!) to build? Or are there several billion dollars still unspent which can be returned, recissioned, repudiated, or "unspent" by whatever means necessary? Goal: 500,000 charging ports by 2030. Interpolated number to date should have been around 175,000. Biden/Buttigieg performance 384. Yet judges are saying that this administration must continue to fund the hoax. https://freebeacon.com/latest-news/biden-admins-7-5-billion-ev-initiative-built-fewer-than-400-charging-ports-in-3-years-watchdog-says/

Still over $3 in most places here unless you have a Costco or Sam's Club membership. Then it's like 2.79 or something.

Campbell University has announced that TJ Dudley will be promoted to become the program’s next head coach. Dudley came to Campbell a year ago as an assistant coach under then-head coach Scotti Sentes. During Dudley’s first year on staff, Campbell went 11-9, finished third at the SoCon Championships, and sent three wrestlers to the NCAA Championships. Dudley also worked closely with 2024 All-American heavyweight Taye Ghadiali, who participated in the 2024 NWCA All-Star Classic, but then was lost for the year to injury. Before coming to Campbell, Dudley spent three years as an assistant at Brown University. As a competitor, Dudley was a three-time All-American for the University of Nebraska. In 2016, he made the finals of the Big Ten and NCAA Championships. He was twice named the program’s Most Outstanding Wrestler. Following his graduation, Dudley continued to compete on the Senior level and finished third at the US Open. Dudley will inherit a Campbell program that is in transition. Before the 2024-25 season, the athletic department announced that wrestling would be one of five programs facing a severe funding cut as a result of the school "opting in" to revenue sharing. Shortly after this announcement and after the regular season, there were a handful of notable Campbell wrestlers who entered the transfer portal. At this point in time, none of the wrestlers on the Camels roster have previous NCAA experience.

I read it. Sounds like all the two did was talk about the Vikings and the Packers. Oh and how to be your best version of woke.

It would be the woke thing to do

Nolf vs Wick now confirmed. Not sure if a weight was announced hoping its like 180 I think nolf is a big favorite at 174 but I think full feed Wick could be dangerous.

Goldman should have stepped down ten years ago. Waited way to long, but I believe he wanted to wait until his son graduated from IU.

we are going to have to agree to disagree.

Can you describe the blueprint?

Well look at that, you were able to give something a logical reasoning without blaming Biden or Obama. Proud of you kid! Growth!!

The 3-Point Takedown: Friend or Foe?
NYupstate replied to Wrestleknownothing's topic in College Wrestling
You convinced me. A few extra tech falls is not worth the trade-off for a vastly higher number of single takedown matches. -
Hilarious episode. Just watched last night. Was great.

steak prices are currently high in the U.S., reaching record levels. Several factors contribute to this, primarily related to a shrinking cattle herd, increased feed costs due to drought, and strong consumer demand. Here's a more detailed breakdown: Shrinking Cattle Herd: The national beef cow herd is at its lowest point in decades, with fewer cattle available for slaughter. This reduction is due to a combination of factors, including ranchers selling off breeding stock during previous droughts. Increased Feed Costs: Drought conditions across major cattle-producing regions have led to higher costs for ranchers to feed their cattle, as they rely on more expensive feed instead of grazing. Strong Demand: Despite the higher prices, consumer demand for beef, particularly ground beef, remains strong, further contributing to price increases

Gas has been weird around here. Multiple days of 20, 30, as high as 40 cent hikes and drops overnight. One day it will be 3.15, the next day 2.85, 3.10 a couple days later, 2.93 the next day. Just weird. My steaks are up, eggs are down. Hard to find ribeyes under 15.99lb lately. Can get free range eggs for 2.60 at Aldi. Coffee is up as well. Just a weird time right now in pricing.
