Is PJ Duke redshirting next year? Why?
JimmyCinnabon replied to Cowboy08's topic in College Wrestling
I was born right at the cutoff date to start school. My mom could have started me in kindergarten but I would have been one of the youngest kids in the class. Instead she started me the next year and I was one of the oldest kids in my class and I absolutely loved that. If you're close to the cutoff date I would honestly recommend starting your child the next year. At least that is how I feel from personal experience. My niece and my best friend's son were both born in March, two weeks apart. My sister started my niece in kindergarten while my best friend opted to start his kid in kindergarten the following year. My niece will be in 4th grade in the fall while my buddy's kid will be in 3rd grade. I'd rather be the kid in 3rd grade that is older than everyone. I really don't have an opinion on purposely holding your kid back in 8th grade if he is a kid that could be a D1 athlete. At this point there is A LOT to gain by holding your kid back a year. You can set your entire family up financially by doing that at this point. I certainly don't blame parents these days for putting their kids in a position to set themselves up financially for the rest of their lives, even if it means their kid takes a year to play video games. -
if he shows up, I will give him the login info and let him take it back.

What?!?! Did I say AI must be rigged? I said wow that you have applied absolutely no analytical or critical thinking about what AI "said". There is no concrete evidence that anything they said is true...it's all anecdotal, based on past history that is no longer true, etc.. In today's day and age and where our society is now, there is zero evidence of this being a systemic thing or is even remotely true. Yet alone can't be proven as absolute truth that Clark is benefiting for being white. By the way...your tiresome attacks on these "wingers" and news sources that I have hardly ever heard of nor been on is some way relevant in this back and forth how?? And what does scientists funded by the fossil fuel industry have to do with your claim about the color of Clark's skin??

Plz delete this account and allow the real tbar’s return. He was probably the most detestable Penn st fan, and that’s saying something, I always enjoyed seeing him take a beat down from you and others. The forum was a little more entertaining back then

You saying doing 8th grade twice on purpose to grow and get better (and play vids all day) so you have an advantage over people who didn’t ….. isn’t morally bankrupt?

Repeating 8th grade is 200% morally bankrupt? It sounds like you're really grading on a curve here. What kinda of percentage does actually doing something bad get you? Seventeen billion percent morally bankrupt? -
Our Dear Leader, and the most esteemed statesman, has let the world know that we (and he) know exactly where the leader of Iran is, but we are not going to kill him....not yet, anyway. Please provide where I said that Presidents can do whatever they want? I said he is trying to do what he campaigned on and the majority of the people voted for. And if he was King it wouldn't matter what the courts said now would it??? Not to mention THIS is why you think he trying to be a "King"...executive orders?? Something every single President has done and will do in the future?? By the way I never once complained about when Biden did it, Obama did it, etc. Did you complain about it when they did it?? Or can you at least be intellectually honest and just say it is because you hate Trump and leave it at that instead of continuing with these ridiculous and factually incorrect claims.

2027 Big Boarders
Hoyt Matthews replied to Indiana-Hawk-Wrestling-Fan's topic in High School Wrestling
Valiant has done a lot of the PNL stuff, all of it really which has been great for them. In the fall it is a PNL regional, S32, then the PNL National. They did dual LHP last year and two years ago they went to the St. Christopher's duals in VA as well as had an event with LHP, so that has been good. They had some kids go to College Opens last year which was good for them. Dean wrestled in the Embry Riddle Open, the Doane Open and RTOC College open, placing 3rd, 1st, and 3rd respectively. I think colleges see enough there because so much of HS season matches for really high level kids are so one sided. Valiant also sent a group to Folkstyle Nationals (Barrio, Anderson, Cardinal, Fluckiger) and VA Beach this year (I think like 20 or so kids). The NHSCA group was a really good size group, so yes, you are correct they are doing some more folk. The FS events are kind of open, so it is easier to compete in those. Larkin and Meza met in the RTOC finals a two years ago, both were HS seniors with Larkin winning via major. On the S32 a few years ago Larkin dropped a match to Vince Robinson, so in hindsight probably not as down as thought at the time by many. I am excited to see those Larkin boys compete this year in the lineup at ASU both will be really really good in there. Meza was ranked top 25 ish in December while he used his five events for iowa State. So good to see VCP kids having success in the folk realm as well. They have had a few in the Pittsburgh Classic (Dapper Dan) as well as some in WNO, so some really good events there. Most of the VCP kids drop from ranking for non competition and also they do not see the kids that are ranked during the year so it is goofy and hard to rank them sometimes. Even still with college results it is hard to have anything to weigh them against, that being said I think coaches see what they need, and I agree 100 matches are not needed. Christian Davis true Frosh for Lander took 3rd in NCAA D II this year. Derek Guanajuato had a top 20 win as a true frosh two years ago, so again I think they are definitely having some folk results but I think the FS results overshadow that for sure. Obv, I keep up with them much more than most. -
Being elected doesn't give anybody the power to do whatever they want. WOW, that you think it does. Scary. But only if they're Republican, right?

Yah. The AI must be rigged. I'm sure that's the common winger answer. All more reputable sources of info are against the wingers and the only real truth is found in the fringe winger sources like Breitbart, the Blaze and Fox News. Oh...and "scientists" that are funded by the fossil fuel industry.

Here's a simple AI answer. Not tough to look up. Racial disparities exist in athlete endorsement pay, with Black athletes, particularly Black women, often earning less than their white counterparts despite comparable or even superior athletic performance. This disparity is influenced by factors like media representation, brand perceptions, and historical biases, leading to fewer endorsement opportunities and lower valuations for Black athletes. Here's a more detailed look: 1. Limited Opportunities: Media Coverage: White athletes, particularly white women, often receive more media attention and are portrayed in ways that align with traditional beauty standards, making them more appealing to advertisers, according to some sports journalists. Brand Image: Companies may be hesitant to endorse athletes who don't fit their desired image or who might be perceived as controversial, even if those athletes are successful. Stereotyping and Bias: Athletes of color, especially Black women, may face negative stereotypes and biased perceptions that limit their endorsement potential, according to some sports analysts. 2. Lower Endorsement Values: Racial Bias in Valuations: Even when Black athletes secure endorsements, they may receive lower payouts or less favorable terms compared to their white counterparts. Historical Disadvantage: The legacy of racial inequality in sports, including limited access to training, resources, and opportunities, contributes to the current disparities in endorsement pay. 3. Examples and Insights: NIL Deals: While NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) deals have opened new avenues for college athletes to earn money, data from Opendorse indicates that Black athletes, particularly Black women, still receive a smaller percentage of the total compensation compared to their representation in college sports. Paige Bueckers' Perspective: Even a high-profile white athlete like Paige Bueckers acknowledges the disparity, stating that Black women athletes deserve more media coverage and recognition for their contributions to sports. Hispanic Athletes: Studies have shown that Hispanic athletes may also experience a significant reduction in endorsement earnings compared to their white and Black counterparts. 4. Addressing the Disparities: Challenging Biases: Sports organizations and brands need to actively challenge racial biases and stereotypes in media representation, marketing, and endorsement deals. Promoting Diversity and Inclusion: Companies should prioritize diversity and inclusion in their endorsement strategies, ensuring that athletes of all backgrounds have equal opportunities. Empowering Athletes: Athletes of color can empower themselves by forming their own businesses, advocating for social justice, and leveraging their platforms to create positive change. Media Responsibility: Media outlets have a crucial role to play in promoting diverse athletes, challenging harmful stereotypes, and giving equal coverage to athletes of all backgrounds, says a sports media analyst. By addressing these issues, the sports industry can move towards a more equitable and inclusive environment where athletes are valued and compensated fairly, regardless of their race or gender.

Which Is The #1 Recruiting Class
juniorvarsity replied to Husker_Du's topic in High School Wrestling
Identifying talent is super hard. Look at the NFL. Everyone and their mom can agree that this one guy should go #1 overall, yet they can't hold down a starting spot. There are so many top ten overall busts. More people should try to put a big board together. I would bet that most people's boards would like pretty similar. -
Some are saying Ech is going back down to 141.

LOL...some serious mental gymnastics going on with this statement. So an executive order is a sign that the President is trying to be a King?? Did the President get appointed or was he voted in? How many of the courts orders against him been overturned by a higher court?? Is the President doing what he said he would do on the campaign trail and hence what the majority of the people voted in favor of happening? Are these the things that makes him a King?
