I would be careful what you wish for. There are many countries around the world that are policed by the military…”police states”. Many of them are communist (we hate communists, right?). Many of them see very little violent crime, but that’s because Virtually none of them enjoy this one particular concept that we hold so dear here in the United States: freedom and liberty. Liberty comes with its side affects, crime being one of them. And don’t get me wrong I’m all for lowering crime, but Liberty, even with its crime, is better than the alternative. I’m not for giving up liberty for the sake of zero crime.

The thing I find interesting about the handshake theory is two fold. 1) If it is because of Trump’s strong aggressive hand shaking, wouldn’t it be the other person’s hand that is bruising? And 2) if we are to believe it is due to hand shaking, wouldn’t the bottom of the hand be bruising, where the strength of four fingers is squeezing, as opposed to the area of the hand the gets just the thumb? Or are we to believe that the thumb is more powerful than the four fingers combined.

Well when you have a system that funnels people who aren't the pinnacle of the main track into something, what to expect? Add to them being usually well undertrained in the style compared to their competitors. Greco is far from optimized by the rest of the world, but other countries have figured out that at least by 15 you get them training full time. Other countries who are good at multiples styles often geographically separate them. It helps ameliorate the "jack of all trades master of none" and "Team A style Team B style" problems.

Oh ye of little brain. The reason Republicans have zero Reps in Congress is because Massachusetts is not gerrymandered. State rules say each district must contain one ninth of the state's population (~780k). If you took any single person in Massachusetts and chose the 780k citizens closest to them, Trump would have lost every single dis9ltrict, every time. There is not a single part of the state that contains enough Republicans to constitue a majority unless you gerrymander.
