  1. Place all ten top six, with three in the finals. Best ever? No. But imploding? Even more no. What’s astonishing is they have already accomplished something I’m pretty sure is new (10 AA’s with a finalist), and this will always be seen as a disappointing finish unless ALL of their backside guys take 3rd.
  2. I said it before I'll say it again, don't transfer to Iowa as a senior. That always leads to short NCAA tournaments due to injury or fatigue. Woods, Eierman, Teemer, likely parco as well (I think I saw that he had a bunch of tape under his black knee sleeve, could be something pre-existing.) I'm really invested in Buchanan bucking the trend though, for racecar reasons.
  3. dude gtf outta here with that. Talk about wrestling. That you typed this shows exactly the type of person you are and that is very very unimpressive. [if you paid attention, you caught the immense irony in my writing that third sentence...Don't be that guy]
  4. I came here looking for this after catching a replay. Strategy-wise, that was him throwing something up in the air to see if it stuck. I guess a part of their expectations was cannon would go further on the front side. It's immensely ironic that I'm pretty sure he was arguing that takedown was a slam...when they thing that set him off when advocating for rogotzke was rogotzke's own slam. I'm getting tired of that behavior. This is not meant as a joke, though many will take it as such, but maybe somebody really needs to keep an eye on coach's demeanor after his car crash. Gotta be head trauma that goes along with that.
  5. Love that list, thanks for putting in the leg work on that. Looking at those opponents, I think you can slot starocci right between brooks and yianni, and you have a perfect list going from worst to best.
  6. I was originally going to put him pretty low, but then I remembered all the people he has beaten on his way to winning these titles. Dude may not bring the heat, but he is clutch AF. 2021 - beat kemerer in overtime 2022 - beat mekhi lewis in the finals 2023 - pinned labriola in the finals 2024 - Beat walsh from Ohio state in the finals while wrestling with a blown out knee, on the way he beat mekhi in the quarters He may not always put up points, but his mental game is on point. I probably put him 4th behind cael, dake, and brooks.
  7. The inside trip heard ‘round the world. Cenzo was the textbook definition of a gamer. He had jake rosholt blood in him.
  8. Mark Hall and Vincenzo Joseph deserve to be on the short list of Penn State’s greatest of all time, but they don’t have that 4th year so nobody talks about them. Those two college careers got absolutely kneecapped by 2020.
  9. This right here. Hammerlock, are you secretly Angel Rivera?
  10. I’m surprised at how small the Iowa bubble is. But then I saw the ohio state bubble and thought ah…not really
  11. Here I showed up to write a post, and you did it far more succinctly than I would have.
  12. For the non-twittering of us...where does this stand?
  13. NFW did he pull his hamstring. He had a ton of lateral pressure put on his leg in a single leg scramble, that’s almost always a ligamentous or other connective tissue injury.
  14. A DT-era okie state trophy would be awesome for the sport.
  15. Calling ryan a POS for one outburst is beyond uncharitable. He runs a great program and has improved the lives of hundreds of kids. Did you all forget that these are D1 coaches who ALL lose their sh*t at one point or another? These are the most competitive, prominent people in the sport. T&T tell the world and everyone in it to f*ck itself every dual meet, but ryan has one outburst and you want to hang him from a lamppost?
  16. Because an arbitrary one time rule that was implemented randomly due to a global event does or doesn't apply to him, when others have already competed for the exact same circumstances and not been punished? Why is he different from brooks or starocci or beard or steveson?
  17. You’re not wrong, or wolak or kharchla for that matter, that is a tough first two matches for all those guys.
  18. Pinto got a raw deal with his draw. Not great for KOT in my view. 10% chance, but pinto is a bull, KOT doesn’t handle that very well.
  19. Watch out for kharchla wolak. That has dark horse written all over. Wolak is still dangerous even if he’s not in last year’s form.
  20. What happens when Kasak and shapiro headbutt each other and neither passes protocol in the ncaa finals?
  21. This will always be the answer, followed by caldwell over metcalf, and then cenzo over Imar.
  22. I don’t hate that idea. The NCAA however…
  23. I’m a PSU fan but that is getting a bit tiresome, especially after witnessing how people treated JB last year. That legitimately made me reassess who I was on the proverbial bus with. #2 is an all dogs team. I love any story about a kid punching an AA ticket from a small school, and I love a low seeded bracket toppler. So, my #2 team is seeds 17-33. I really want Okie State to be a force again, and for there to be more teams that value and prioritize the fun upside to enjoying the sport instead of hating life as the price of success, so my #2 team is the DT OSU crew.
  24. I understand the mechanics of seeding, I also think Alirez is likely wrestling on one arm, but still, a previous champ is a bad bad draw. It is arguably the toughest quarter at the weight. Now, of course alirez could put this to bed by getting bounced before the quarter, but I still think the point is valid.
  25. For real, talk about being punished for your success.
