  1. They are certainly doing well and I love to see it, but to be honest, most nations do not culturally, financially, or practically care about women's sports, including wrestling. The support USA women's wrestling is getting is probably unmatched outside of Japan. The competition is not going to be on par with the men's competition.
  2. After watching this final session, I'm going with Muszukaev vs. Dudaev in the bronze match. Top notch skill on display, back and forth, and down to the wire. That was a fun one!
  3. Pavel Tsatsouline has some pretty interesting strength training programs geared solely around bodyweight, kettlebells, and pull-ups. I think these functional lifts would be better suited towards wrestling than chest presses and curls but I was never in a college room.
  4. Trying to not see spoilers and it's killing me - anyone have any idea when Peacock is posting the replay to today's wrestling?
  5. Who would've been the rep if Zain stepped down?
  6. Lameeee.
  7. Agreed. I'm over the Zain/Yianni/N. Lee era. Hopefully, Alirez can do what they couldn't and actually improve as a freestyle wrestler. Don't forget Mendez. He was so close to beating Zain for the spot.
  8. Well damn, that 4 at the end and then he just carried him effortlessly off the mat going for more. Wild to see from such a lanky / skinny wrestler.
  9. The best in the world at the best company in the world? We got Steve Jobs back from the dead?
  10. Wish Spencer wouldn't lash out every time he loses like this. It always makes headlines and makes him seem like a poor sport. I get how terrible it must feel to lose this but he'd be much better off keeping it together, it's an incredible accomplishment.
  11. Hopefully she starts branching out and reaches her true potential. Only running one event, that most don't care much about, like two to three times a year is so disappointing. Start competing in the sprints, the relays, etc. She's too good to be constantly running against herself. Imagine if Bolt saved himself for the 200m, skips the 100m and 4x100m relays because he wants to improve his 200m world record. Skips every diamond league event and barely shows up. That'd be so bad for the sport.
  12. Their culture is one of extreme dedication and hard work. Pays off.
  13. Or you can be like Spencer, say the medal ***ducking** sucks and give it away to somebody
  14. So we think Muhammad is just gonna sit back and let this happen?
  15. I suppose I did. Thanks to my wrestling boiz on intermat. Just in time to watch Amit, bummed I missed the Lopez match though!
  16. Ahhh, I'm on my ex's YouTube TV. Tough viewing experience. Just bought Peacock. Her and YouTube TV are no longer necessary in my life.
  17. How the hell does one watch this one the Peacock app???
  18. Can't tell if this is a joke or you really have lost your shit over this one, lol. Not that big of a deal and it's a worthy question, he openly dissed Islam and they might hold a grudge.
  19. Yeah, lame to skip out on that.
  20. I went to Eds, here's my perspective. Alan Fried was as hyped as anyone coming out of high school, definitely moreso than the Brands as he owned them up until that point. Gable and the Brands turned that around in college. Dustin Schlatter and Metcalf were more hyped than Lance Palmer imo, although Lance was a grade below. Metcalf / Schlatter was a crazy rivalry. Sucks Schlatter got injured. Lance and Collin had a little extra intimidation factor as both of them had absolutely shredded physiques at all times. Collin Palmer was hyped to be even better than Lance. I think he could've been better in college as well. He injured his back pretty bad going into what I think was senior years or so, even before the Taylor match, and kept getting worse. Caused him to retire his freshman year at OSU unfortunately. Could've been great. Logan / David Taylor were always incredibly hyped. I think Taylor was the most hyped kid I've seen, he was the wonder child and was one of the few to never lose any hype over the years. And Steve Mocco was hyped to be the best heavyweight of all time. Dude was an absolute freak in high school wrestling for Blair.
  21. I'm curious as well. I don't think Taylor hit the weights seriously til his bulk up to 86kg.
  22. So he was doing competitive weightlifting as a 9 year old? Yeah, he clearly was over exaggerating when he said he doesn't lift. Simply means he hasn't in a couple months.
  23. Friendship Games is an absolutely hilarious name for a Russian-ran tournament, lmao.
  24. Seems like Sidakov is moving on to MMA unfortunately. Gets to ride into the sunset having never lost to Dake
