  1. I believe Brooks has more TDs against Taylor than Yazdani does in the last couple years. If Yazdani came in and started wrestling Folk in January, he’d still be lucky to not get decked by Brooks at 197, IMO. Brooks isn’t a renowned pinner but a guy like Yazdani has never felt a hard two minute ride and might get stalled out or just flop over to end it sooner. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I posted that before I looked at the brackets. I know Kurugliev transferred but he isn’t wrestling at Worlds. Injured? Not eligible yet? Either way, if he’s healthy, he’ll be the 86kg for Greece next year. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. The 86kg entry for Greece is the Russian who smoked DT with a heel to the chin a couple years back in a worlds quarter or semi.
  4. I know. He’s super talented and a technical wizard. But if Evan Henderson and Yianni can beat him, Nick Lee should be able to, as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. That will be burned into my mind forever. I can see him doing it in the future but until I do, he’s stuck at the “got lit up by a guy who smokes four packs of cowboy killers a day” level. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. I’m a huge Nick Lee fan but his wrestling IQ isn’t there yet. He did everything possible to lose to Musukaev in their match when other Americans have shown a very clear blueprint for beating him. He threw that match away. I’d love to be proven wrong, of course. 7. DT’s out there wrestling Folk against some newbs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Dauletbekov got 12-0’d last year by DT; if he can go the distance that would be a significant improvement. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Baby Yaz is blowing hard; I’m surprised Bulgaria is challenging this right now. Yeah. Bad challenge. Live, it didn’t look like he was completely out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. The review during Vito’s semi makes me think of any time someone like Dake chest wraps someone and takes them over straight back. Dake lands on his own back and more often than not, the other guy lands ON Dake and not on the mat. If his back doesn’t make contact with the mat, is that truly a 4 point move? 11. Sasso, Kemerer, Hayden Hidlay, Parris. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Going to be really ugly this year, too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. If they prevent Russia from adding to the tally of 700,000 kids they’ve stolen (by their own admission, mind you), I’m guessing the fighting men and women of Ukraine will bear that burden. https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/moscow-says-700000-children-ukraine-conflict-zones-now-russia-2023-07-03/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Code word? Dog whistle? If one achieves tactical and operational goals, such as penetrating and breaching a heavily fortified mine-wire trench obstacle (while massing counter battery fire on their one remaining true strength that supports it: pre-registered artillery) I would call that success. 15. Tell me what is going on here. You’re so well educated on everything, oh Brain, so you surely know. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I’m surprised a Russian is so confident about ANYTHING these days. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. “Failing counteroffensive” tells me all I need to know about that guy and how much his opinion is worth re: war. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. “Potential major act of war.” What does that even mean? It’s active in areas Russia has “annexed”; why would Crimea be different? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I’m a big fan of the time when he accused Aaron Brooks of cheating (in the same match where his son bit Brooks) at B1Gs two years ago when taking blood or injury time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. NLWC has these guys on a limited schedule for a reason. Cael knows that if DT comes in un-injured and in shape, he will stomp everyone not named Yazdani. The biggest thing for a 32 year old wrestler is managing wear and tear. I’d bet that Taylor is on the mat 3x a week, max, for much of the year. I know he does a LOT of cycling, both indoor and outdoors, for fitness. He builds a huge aerobic base doing a non-wrestling activity and then builds wrestling-specific fitness in a relatively short ramp-up prior to big events. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Yes. https://apnews.com/article/biden-vietnam-john-mccain-hanoi-hilton-58d7c84a3467aa49f878fb28fc77620c https://www.reuters.com/world/us-vietnam-elevate-ties-during-biden-visit-with-eye-china-2023-09-09/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Personally I’d rather have the CINC strengthening or building international alliances to prevent future loss of life then taking photos to appease the masses. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Apparently people missed Starocci and Brooks going to Tokyo with Bekzod and DT, respectively. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Again, I said in two years. I don’t think it’s impossible for him to put on enough good weight to not get completely manhandled by other 174s and be able to cut down to 163 and wreck those guys in two years. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. The fact that the US government subsidizes, emphasizes or in any way promotes through any means corn syrup or ethanol production is very troubling to me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
