  1. I read the transcript. Multiple times, in fact. First time, a long time ago. She said “Eff the EU” because they weren’t doing a damn thing. No sanctions, no military aid, nothing. What do you think she meant? The US has a vested interest in…US interests. As well as the mutual interests of other countries in the area, such as Poland, which not only hosts quite a few US troops but also shares a border with both Russia and Belarus. 2. So, CA has more military bases than almost all of the poorer red states, yet still comes out with a lot less federal funding? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  5. 1) Your source is an account called TrumpsCards. 2) The leak was done by Russia. You’re amplifying whatever perspective Russia is trying to put out here. Congrats, Comrade. 3) What exactly do you think indicates that the US is responsible for Russia invading Ukraine. I’ll make it easy, as this happened in 2014 and it was news AFTER Russia invaded…in 2014. Here’s a link to the transcript. Quote anything that you think indicates the US had anything to do with it. I’ve read it, and I’m not sure what you think is “there”. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-26079957.amp Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  7. You might want to read the article, note that it’s from 2017, and wonder what tax policy/law has been passed since then. Also, the first three paragraphs: WASHINGTON (AP) — Republican leaders have spent months promoting the myth that red low-tax states are subsidizing blue high-tax states because of the deduction for state and local taxes. An Associated Press Fact Check finds it’s actually the other way around. High-tax, traditionally Democratic states (blue), subsidize low-tax, traditionally Republican states (red) — in a big way. Republicans are trying to eliminate the deduction as part of the sweeping tax package working its way through Congress. They added back a deduction for up to $10,000 in property taxes, in a concession to Republicans from high-tax states such as New York and New Jersey. California Republicans are pushing to extend the deduction to local income taxes, too. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. Please cite a source. Nothing I’ve found suggests anything higher than 0.70. https://smartasset.com/data-studies/states-most-dependent-on-the-federal-government-2022 https://wallethub.com/edu/states-most-least-dependent-on-the-federal-government/2700 https://www.moneygeek.com/living/states-most-reliant-federal-government/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Are you honestly suggesting that Florida’s state tax policy has anything to do with FEDERAL taxes in California? We have reached a new level here. You cannot be helped. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  11. If California contributes $300 and gets $195 back, and Mississippi contributes $50 and gets $130 back, please explain how my “blue states fund red states” stance is wrong. Where do you think that money for Mississippi comes from? Hint: Those are the actual ratios of contributions vs returns for those two states. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. You think the average Floridian is working cane fields? Really? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. If you’re so incredibly ignorant as to the transfer of wealth from blue to red states, maybe you shouldn’t be so confident making statements like the one I quoted previously. Federal dependency, man. It’s a thing. And easily looked up by anyone with an interest in knowing the truth of a matter rather than making statements out of ignorance. Here’s a helpful hint: of the 20 most federally dependent (e.g., tax dollars from others) states, 14 of them are regarded as “red” states. The five least federally dependent states are Utah, Illinois, California, Washington and New Jersey. They send wealth to other states and get far less back than they contribute. 15. And that’s why describing “the left” or “the right” or lumping any whole group of people together is problematic. No one has the exact same views on everything. It’s lazy. Do I still do it? Yeah, on occasion. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Excuses and bail outs, eh? Conservative economic policy in a nutshell. Wealth redistribution from blue to red. I would prefer that I keep more of my (blue state) tax dollars in-state instead of bailing out red states. Particularly the south. Unfortunately, they have a laundry list of excuses, such as, “We’re fat, drunk, have the worst educational systems by far and can’t get by without blue state tax dollars. Woe is me. Send me more money, blue states/Federal government, for I am poor.” Hopefully the federal government doesn’t bail Florida out when the next big one hits. ***duck duck goose** ‘em. Their inflation rate is more than twice the national average, the two largest insurers just pulled out and illegal immigrants are scared to work there. Let that dump fester and rot. 18. Here’s a helpful hint: There was at least one National Guard unit on active orders in the Capital that day. They were deployed throughout the city, manning traffic control points. Many of them less than two miles away. Quite a few less than a mile away. Many could have been there in less than 15min if ordered to help; they weren’t. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. So, when Biden holds the federal government accountable, it’s bad. When MAGA holds federal government accountable (which they’ve never done in any meaningful way re: law), that’s good. Got it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  21. He was at Penn State last year. Not sure if he was ever on the team or going to school there. But there were commitment graphics, at one point. I think Nagao transferring in and Bartlett taking 3rd, with three and two years left, respectively, ended up making him recommit to Clarion. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  22. Most left-leaning individuals in the cycling sphere are fine with this. Particularly women (those impacted most), from what I've observed. This is the correct course of action. I have no problem with transgender participants taking part in bike races, but it needs to be in the men's category. Why? Because even if they are on substantial testosterone suppression/reduction medications, they've had the physiological development of a man for a significant portion of their life. That's no small thing.
