  1. That’s a problem with the rule set. Russian dude did nothing to earn that point and was not in an offensive position at all. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Yeah. TitleIX is the only person on this board who can get, quite literally, everyone else to unite against him. It’s quite amazing, actually. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Jimmy? TitleIV? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. To clarify: Brooks BEAT Zahid Valencia; he didn’t just “wrestle him close”. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Any idea what Jamill Kelly is going to do? I'm assuming he isn't being retained with the new regime.
  6. Let me know when the author of this story provides an update and the scandal breaks. It's only been 14 years. In 8 years of Obama presidency, an election campaign and a re-election campaign, no one was able to dig up any dirt on either of them re: law licenses? Really? The comments on that article are, um, batshit crazy, by the way. Just about perfect examples of the wildest days of the Tea Party.
  7. It's the amounts and the method that apparently result in the "best" results. From that BBC link: "In 2010, Salazar became aware of a legal supplement that could boost levels of L-carnitine - which occurs naturally in the body and helps convert fat to energy - and produce a significant performance boost. The problem was it took about six months of drinking the supplement to notice any difference. Salazar didn't want to wait that long. UK researchers had devised a method to produce the same result by infusing intravenously the supplement using a drip, over four hours. Salazar wanted to test this, and Magness was to be the guinea pig. Reluctantly, he agreed and the results were instant. "Almost unbelievable," said Magness."
  8. Now? I'm not sure. At the time, there was a limit to how much you could infuse in any given timeframe. Here's WADA's report on it: https://safe.menlosecurity.com/doc/docview/viewer/docN20767B9E39F1005cb9780b7c85459f36199f7cafdfc0d1c290025e08d0ac0c7c99671dfe6824
  9. For starters, they were injecting L-carnitine, which is a method to strip fat off the body, reducing metabolic demand/reducing need to shed heat. https://www.bbc.com/sport/athletics/49853029
  10. If you were, I would ask that you use another method to read a thread, completely, before responding.
  11. Are you blind? See bolded text. Please note that that was posted ~10 hours ago, and I don't have the ability to time travel at this juncture.
  12. Pardon me for believing that there is a difference in the coaching abilities of Casey Cunningham and the Cal Baptist staff.
  13. We’re talking about Meyer Shapiro and Mitchell Messenbrink. Do people discussing them NOT know that they are U20 world champions? Like versus like. Also, given that I said “teched his way through”, it was pretty clear I wasn’t talking about Sidakov. Who had several close, non-technical superiority wins. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. You don’t think weight classes matter? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. You understand that Shapiro and Messenbrink are the current 70kg and 74kg U20 world champions, right? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. The guy who teched every opponent he faced at a heavier weight. Seriously. If Messenbrink can make 157 and not lose a step, not only is winning 74kg that much more impressive but it makes him that much more likely to win 157. That said, I’d prefer he take an OLY RS. 17. If they go into the hornet’s nest, a la Blackhawk Down, things will get really interesting, fast. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. None of those things derail that narrative, though. 1) Multiple launch sites ARE possible. 2) Hamas is an international organization. 3) If Hamas or anyone else was storing a volatile substance outside the hospital, boom. 4) JDAMs leave big ass craters. Have you seen one, geolocated, from the hospital? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Probably because the world champ at 74kg might very well be in the same weight class, 157, and I know who I’d take in that match. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. “There are those”… “It’s been said.” Can you just stop with the weasel words? It’s pathetic. No one is disbarred for being conservative. That would eliminate half of the licensed attorneys in most states. He was recommended for disbarment by a panel of three, unanimously, for pushing frivolous lawsuits and never providing any evidence. That’s exactly what the bar is supposed to do: uphold professional standards and remove those who don’t meet them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Michelle Obama was never disbarred. Not only that, but she’s never had a disciplinary proceeding opened against her. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. OJ never had what appeared to be shit running down the side of his face, in public. Blood? Maybe. In a private setting. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Unless he did a GS year prior to his RS year, taking classes that Stanford would accept, and then knew that he wanted to graduate in "3" (RS, RSFR, SO), that seems unlikely. https://www.wrestlestat.com/wrestler/24215/mckenna-joseph/profile Real Woods did four years at Stanford. RS, RSFR, SO and JR. https://www.wrestlestat.com/season/2022/wrestler/50664/woods-real/profile
  24. There are many shades of gray along the spectrum between handing out food, water and blankets, to training paramilitary forces (mujahideen, anti-communist forces), to actively aiding in terrorist plots. This seems to be closer to the first, no? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. I’ve run and ridden a bike past the School of the Americas dozens of times. Kind of amazing that people don’t know who it produced and that it’s still in operation. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
