  1. I know some have complained about the broadcast on Peacock, but I thought the quad box was great aside from the issues with mat 3 for a bit, especially during the JB/Facundo match. But I thought Shane deserved his own thread. He just went 5 hours broadcasting by himself and stayed on top of all of the action. Very impressive! Thank you Shane.
  2. Weights matter too. Letting the world medalist at different weights sit to the semis seems fair, not sure I see why the other guys on that half get a disadvantage because of it.
  3. If you expose first before the TD (not feet to back), then spin behind you don't get the extra 2 for a TD.
  4. You might have to scroll to page 3 as Track usually saves page 1 for random JV tournaments.
  5. Classic J'Den match 1-1, wins on getting the shot clock last.
  6. It doesn't make any sense unless it is aligned with the Olympic or the Last Chance schedule.
  7. Surprised. The arena looks about half full on TV. Maybe they are still trickling in.
  8. Bad coaching decision by Kennedy to challenge a pushout only down 4-2 with Facundo having the only 2 point move. Basically let Burroughs coast to victory.
  9. I don't know why find this funny, but I do:
  10. Maybe he closed the gap on the scoreboard but he didn't look any closer to me. AA shut it down the last :45 and Barlett didn't sniff a leg or pushout.
  11. Why did they hold MFS 57KG? Every other bracket is to the quarters and they still in the hole for the first round?
  12. So while I agree @fishbane brackets makes more sense, who does the current method hurt more? The bye who has a tougher semi draw or the 2 seed (really the #3 guy in the bracket if the bye is #1) who only gets one chance (not 2 out of 3) to beat the bye/#1 guy. I actually they think they should seed the bye and if bye earns the #1 seed then the bracket should be like Fishbanes proposal. The only reason I can think of not doing it that way is if the guy who earns the #1 seed isn't the the returning medalist. Give the returning medalist the bye but if that guy didn't wrestle for a year and someone else has been going to international tournaments and winning/winning the US Open, etc. an argument could be made that they should get the 1 seed over a guy who hasn't competed in a year. (No one has done that so it wouldn't apply this year, I am just trying to think of reasons why the current method makes sense).
  13. Is this NLWC or PSU wrestlers? You can't count both. Hall and Suriano are not NLWC wrestlers; Gillman, Dake and Snyder were not PSU wrestlers. I think NLWC gets the upper 4 weights.
  14. VT gained a Connor and lost a Cooper all in one day.
  15. My thoughts as well. Probably has to be publicly posted and open for a set amount of time. Coleman didn't leave the head coaching job at UNC without assurances.
  16. Hell of a career coach! Will definitely be missed.
  17. If you want to be considered the greatest in an individual sport you have to win it all. Now, you could make an argument for people with less titles in a GOAT conversation (IMO). Example, Is DT the GOAT PSU wrestler despite having less titles? I don't think titles are the end all be all but, yes you have to win 1 if not more than 1 to be a GOAT.
  18. I wasn't trying to imply the AD doesn't know Askren, but I don't think that alone gets you an in person meeting just because you asked for one with out an agenda or the agenda is just I want to complain about the head coach.
