  1. People always tell on themselves.
  2. I think it was his cardio.
  3. The annual stalling debate.
  4. He should have been called more than twice. That wasn't even a challenging match to call. He did not try to wrestle for two periods.
  5. What match did you watch? Taylor caught an ankle right at the end of the 1st. That's the only time he engaged the entire match. Blaze kept coming forward and deserved for the officiating to be consistent with the regular season. The official allowed Taylor to run away.
  6. That doesn't mean he didn't stall for the remainder of the match.
  7. We watched stalling called one way all year long and then in the finals, the whistle is swallowed. This is terrible to watch, unless you're watching Jesse Mendez. He's a legend.
  8. They need to change these challenge rules. Taylor just got a timeout.
  9. The bracket showed me the way.
  10. Maybe he's trying to set the record for the lowest combined point total for a national champ? Jason Tsirtsis has to be in the mix, though I'm guessing someone has scored fewer. He won the title in 2014 with a combined 15 points over five matches: Bryce Busler (Bloomsberg) 149 W Dec 4-1 James English (PSU) 149 W Dec 4-3 Kendric Maple (Oklahoma) 149 W Dec SV1 2-1 Drake Houdashelt (Missouri) 149 W Dec SV1 2-1 Joshua Kindig (Oklahoma State) 149 W Dec SV1 3-1 With the three-point takedown, adjusted stalling and neutral danger rules, something like Tsirtsis' run would be hard to replicate.
  11. No message - I think I found the discrepancy with Parco defaulting out.

  13. Wolak knocks Kharchla to the consis
  14. I was thinking it sounded like too many points as well. Good catch.
  15. If they simply perform to seed, they'll have four champs. If that happens, they only need two guys to overperform their seed by one spot to have six champs. Non-No. 1 seeds: Davis (8), Bartlett (2), Van Ness (3), Haines (2), Barr (4), Kerkvliet (3) Looking at the brackets, there is a non-zero (but still very much unlikely) chance that they could get all 10 guys into the finals. I personally don't think that will happen, but I wouldn't think you're completely insane if you said it would happen. It really is an insanely high standard they've set.
  16. You mean after the first period, right? Snyder is too small for Gable.
  17. Another thing to consider: Dake, Yianni, et al, didn't have to wrestle a B1G schedule. We can't know how that might have impacted results, health or anything else, but I don't think that's a small thing. It could have impacted several things.
  18. This is one of those topics where I feel like I have an immediate opinion, start writing it out...then realize I need to research about 10 guys
  19. Wt Wrestler Seed 125 Cooper Flynn 19 133 Angelo Rini 21 141 Josh Sanders 20 149 Gavin Drexler 22 157 Jacori Teemer 18 165 Tyler Lillard 27 174 Dan Braunagel 20 184 Ryder Rogotzke 26 197 Andy Smith 19 HWT Jacob Bullock 21 Apparently I like the brackets (relatively) for IU guys.
  20. Agree - since the Minnesota dual, Mendez has looked "off." Perhaps VomBaur put him on tilt? 141 has some really good wrestlers, so there are a variety of reasons why he's taken some losses. This one of the brackets I'm most looking forward to.
  21. They're on Track as well. https://www.trackwrestling.com/tw/predefinedtournaments/VerifyPassword.jsp?tournamentId=855048132
  22. No, they didn't. They bent the rules for your favorite team and you're ok with it. Others aren't. It's that simple. The Big 12 got this wrong.
