That said, Josephus does mention Jesus. So, there's a roughly contemporary source from outside the Christian tradition.

Its pretty easy to get an amphetamine (adderall, vyvanse, dexedrine) or amphetamine-adjacent (ritalin, modafinil, concerta) rd for ADHD. What is NCAA policy on these? I'm sure there must be dr notes, forms to fill out, and other bureaucratic hoops. But if it's doable, how common is it? Is there any stigma?

2007, we hardly knew ye; 2008: "Hold my beer"; 2009 has entered the chat; 2010: "That was a special weekend for me but not for you, I guess." --- I cant decide which cliche to use

After the season in 2022, there was a ~"Move on, Mr Smith" thread either or here or 34 and counting. I allowed myself to fantasize out loud about Taylor before completely dismissing the idea. But . . . it happened. So maybe maybe maybe Arujau will forget all the nastiness surrounding that last match; decide cows and endless fields of brown are better than whaterfalls, evergreens, and all that other stuff where Dake goes to meditate; and decamp for Stillwater.

The weight question is fun, so here's another for the commentariat: who was the best guy to ever beat you. Years and weights would be cool. Scores, too . . . and all poetic lincense will be forgiven. I'll start: edit (I first posted about about a little League match, but I'll offer one that I have a better memory of) In 1995 at 142, Mike Krafchik must have hit 7low singles on me. Every time I tried to close the gap, he just disappeared and dumped me right on my butt. Teched me. I think I rode him for 30 seconds though. Yay me! To add insult to injury, I think he's a doctor ... So not only could he whip my ass, I assume his house is bigger than mine.

The "Home Grown" shirts are all over the place at local high school events, and they're usually on teams who haven't reached the point where they could be competitive in the recruiting game. But once they do attract some transfers, they forget. The ready forgetfulness suggests the shirts were just expressions of impotent envy. I'll cop to these feelings and the forgetfulness. We didn't have shirts, but there were nasty forum avtivity and derisive conversations with the other have-nots. But, one year we got a transfer, and he placed at Escape the Rock. I hadn't recruited the kid; he came for family reasons. The next year I got a few of my club kids. I didn't actively recruit them, but I let them know the door was always open. So, I justified it with the "if you build it" cliche. Slippery slope and all ... My final year had 9 transfers in the starting line up. I forgot what all the fuss was about.

This is one of those internet mysteries that I will never search. I'm glad to know that such a thing exists and that it will always remain an uncharted space on the map of my brain. Legends will grow about its heroes, contests, and controversies. In time, the myth will become tradition, and tradition will become fact.

Best Wrestlers to Never Win an NCAA Title

No doubt, and this is a point worth making every time they appeal to the God of love and compassion. Though to be fair, the folks you name are not as likely to mention JC as some others. -
He's a seer. Long ago, he prophesied dark places, and it has come to pass.

Every day, I get a link on my google search page to an AI generated click-bait article from Essentially Sports, e.g. today's was something like "Ferarri and Steveson snubbed for the Hodge." How do these sorts of things work? Who is responsible? What software do they use? Etc.

So would Carl and Kemererer and Ramos (mispronounced as Rahmos)... -

Sure, but spelling ... and grammar and mechanics are conventional, not ordained by some god on high. In everyday conversation, the only relevant question is "Does the error prevent communication?" Your point is that a misspelling due to ignorance or a typo is insulting. I see no reason why an unintentional error would lead you to this conclusion. -

Best Wrestlers to Never Win an NCAA Title

This is my answer all day, every day. It's more of an aesthetic appreciation than anything else: brutal with that bar arm-far half/blair ride on top and the cross ankle pick / shrug on his feet (in addition to the flashy inside trips from space and super ducks). All the tactics seemed a fluid realization of a single strategy (reminds me of Devin Carter running all his action through the bundle situation) Edit: plus some former opponents confided that he was kinda a d!ck. This is a plus in my book. I reject the "wrestling is fun" mantra . . . even though it seems to work miracles. I'm waiting for the pendulum to swing back, and for the kids damaged by broken homes, poverty, and such to unleash their rage on the well-adjusted. -
This is certainly true now, but I'm not sure when it became sacrosanct. OSU wrestling was still in adidas as late at 2014. Football had been in Nike since ? (Quick YouTube search suggests before 2000) Doesn't matter. Further, I have absolutely no reason to believe what I wrote except my memory of shoes.

I always liked the fact that JWS scheduled duals with teams led by folks from on his coaching tree: Wyoming, Binghampton, UNC, NCSt, Oregon St, Little Rock (is that it)) Further, he seemed to have some role in hooking them up with adidas.) Sanderson might have fewer protogees, but I don't get the feeling he would do this sort of thing.

Ptetty badass mic drop. Not sure it jibes with his walk-out T, though.

Little Boy and Fat Man. I usually like your banter, even the spell-checking. I can't get down with this.

Making light of those events is repugnant.

Red Warrior was my favorite.
