  1. Some swampies need to go to jail. And high level swampies. Let's start with Lois Lerner. Then go with the FISA Court liars at the FBI. And some of these DHS/FEMA a**wipes. Sit them next to any January 6ers who are incarcerated and let the fun begin.
  2. https://babylonbee.com/news/the-babylon-bee-is-graciously-offering-to-hire-any-laid-off-employee-from-fake-news-rival-cnn Self-deprecation at its best!
  3. I like the idea that the majority has to allow the minority to make their argument but I wish the filibuster was actually used for floor debates - televised ones. Just to say the word "filibuster" and then require 60 votes for cloture so that you can get to an actual vote on the merits of the bill is not a very satisfactory system. Maybe anyone who declares a filibuster should be required to accompany it with proposed amendments or rescission of certain parts of the bill in question. So, I must say I do not have a specific answer on how to make the filibuster more useful, transparent, and involve the actual deliberation/compromise/solution orientation I would like but overall I like having a filibuster to keep the majority somewhat in check.
  4. Oh boy!!! Or, oh human!!! The Climateer COPter reporting includes a complete brief of the gender (and possible lack thereof) of all the delegates!!! This, of course, will help the planet survive my farting cows for several millenia longer than if the topic were not included:
  5. From today's liveblog of COP29 (global climate hoax meeting) Two observations: - What the heck are 67,000 people talking about together? This isn't a meeting. It is a Jim Jones Kool Aid drinking extravaganza. The main difference is that Jones probably offered fewer prayers to false gods than the Climateer COPters. They went to Azerbaijan to produce nothing but hot air. How many of those attendees do you think traveled on their own money? I bet most are there on the taxpayers' dime(s). Millions and millions of them. - The UK commits to cut 81% of emissions but it is not enough!! The fact that it is not possible nor desirable nor will do anything useful for the planet is immaterial. More is demanded. Nothing less than a 181% cut is acceptable to commentators. The finish line is when there exist no mammals to fart (I am guess fish and lizards and insects don't fart but cannot state that with absolute authority) thereby completely eliminating all UK greenhouse gas emissions.
  6. Nice Globetrotters reference. This is one of the best insults I have seen in a very long time. Good job.
  7. jross, abortion is not allowed to be said. The acceptable rightthink term is Reproductive Health. Weird how health in this context means the death of at least 50% of the people involved and results in no reproduction almost 100% of the time. In fact, when it results in reproduction it is considered a failure and often the person produced is denied any health care.
  8. Penn State's 2nd string and wrestlers redshirting.
  9. "I can see the headlines now: Democrats Blame Donald Trump for Harris's Loss." Unfortunately I cannot claim credit for this gem. Re-posted from a comment board on another site.
  10. He invited you and all with different opinions to fix it. Start drafting your brief, counselor, and dispense with the snark.
  11. That's only 25 cents per Joe Biden voter. Pass the hat.
  12. I thought you were referencing a pending recruitment push and huge increase in temple attendance.
  13. True. Only the ones who vote do. I apologize for the implied/inferred stereotype.
  14. Dude, let's unpack this. "Never any value to be destroyed". You are right that there never was any value in the idea (and consequent subsidies, quotas, fines, mandates, bans, etc) surrounding EVs. However, operational loses by companies in a specific quarter are not the equivalent of loss of stock value due to the betting pools known as the stock markets. So, in fact, ACTUAL dollars were pissed away in an amazingly efficient manner. I think it would be difficult to burn money as fast as these two companies lost it in the 90 days of the 3rd quarter. Remember, losses have already taken out all of the revenue these companies generated so they actually spent very much more than these losses show. I wholeheartedly agree that "investors with too much money" are not a very sympathetic group and I care not about their stock market returns for themselves. However, the US and state government revenue sources (i.e. me, my children, grandchildren, et al) are subsidizing every phase of the loss to the tune of billions and billions of dollars. To add insult to the injury: it would be bad enough if we were simply wasting our own money but we are borrowing about 25% (and growing) of that loss which is an interest-bearing liability against my great-great . . . . grandchildrens' labor. So, yes, crying rivers is a reasonable reaction to this farce. Or, voting and acting sensibly.
  15. Can't congress and the EU mandate the future better than this? Can't they mandate profits, and physics, and what people want? -These loses work out to be about $23 million in losses every day, just under a million per hour, about $16,000 per minute, Over $250 dollars lost every second. And this is not counting the EV losses at Ford, GM, VW, BMW, Mercedes, Stellantis, Nissan, etc. etc. EVs are destroying value everywhere. We need better mandates. Or, maybe, no mandates. Mandates are tired and overworked. Let's give mandates a rest.
  16. He barbeques puppies and eats them?!? That was debunked. Unless . . . Soylent Green is NOT people.
  17. A division of U-Haul. The company that gave Gavin Newsome it's most valuable non-employee award.
  18. No, No, No. That poll was correct. And all the others that showed Harris winning. The election was the outlying poll. Just like it was when Kerry's exit polls had him winning and the election got it wrong. Good math proves it.
  19. Prediction you first will see here - the projected final vote totals using WKN-certified bad math. There are almost 10 million ballots still not counted in all the states. The larger percentage of those not counted votes are in Dem-states but Utah, Alaska, Arizona, and Mississippi are among the count laggers also. Projecting totals using an assumption (whoa, dangerous) that the uncounted votes come in at the same percentage as the counted vote in each state: Harris Trump Current Counted Vote (Mn) 70.4 74.2 Uncounted Vote (Mn) 5.3 4.4 Total Votes at 100% (Mn) 75.7 78.7
  20. Concur. The garbage came in after this point in that evening and our whole country got garbage out - Biden. Wait, do you mean that NBC news is a garbage-y Trumpist source now?!? They might consider 'dems to be fightin' words. Or, wait again . . . Do you mean that math racist and sexist and 1 + 1 can equal whatever anyone wants it to mean? Nevermind, math is baseless and provides no evidence of anything.
  21. I'm just so upset. Poor Joe hits a political walk-off post midnight grand slam in several states simultaneously while putting together the best campaign and inspirational message ever - besting FDR, HST, JFK, LBJ, Jimmy, WJC, and BHO in voter turnout. Then, in his very next at-bat they pull him out of the batter's box because he missed a curve ball. He still had 3 months to get it together. To get the band back together. He had his mojo rising (I know, the actual lyrics are Mr. Mojo Risin'). Yet, they sent a minor league sub-Mendoza line hitter to finish his at-bat for him. Kam-Mendoza struck out, unsurprisingly. She never had gotten an electoral hit outside of woke-california - the equivalent to T-Ball - in her life. Poor poor, Joe. Poor us. I feel so bad for him and for us. I will settle down but have a heart and give me some time.
  22. Let's do some math. I hear certain contributors to this forum have an affinity for it: T = 2,384,312 votes, B = 2,280,607 votes. Total votes = 4,664,917 2% of the vote is remaining to be counted = 95,202 votes to be counted. T is winning by 103,705 T lost Georgia by 11,799 Therefore, Biden got 115,504 more votes than Trump did out of the last 95,202 votes that arrived. JROSS - how can you not have trust in that?
  23. How can the man who got 81 MILLION VOTES!!!!!! not run again? That is INSANE. Joe B is the most inspirational awesome and efficient vote getter EVERRRRR and the MAGIC DEM!!! To deny that he could do it again is akin to being an election denier. It is BASELESS and there is NO EVIDENCE that he could not get 81 million votes again. Sheesh.
  24. Turnout is perfectly in line with historic trends this year. The number of ballots counted for the Democrat candidate in 2020 is the only irrational number of all the turnout facts over the past 70 years of so. Some of our quant colleagues can probably do the probabilities of the massive 2020 turnout, the humongous number of votes for Biden, and the massive coincidences of simultaneous multiple state vote count halts followed by nearly 100% Biden votes pouring in to flip 4 states. Rasta, you are surprised because it beggars belief and your mostly rational mind knows it did not happen.
